Hey, Mr. President, Can You Babysit?

Monday, September 8, 2008
Who should be running the country? We think the best candidate is the one who could handle watching our kids.

Now that both presidential hopefuls have officially accepted their nominations, those of us on the fence have a difficult choice to make. How can we find the time to sift our way through how Obama and McCain stand on all the important issues, like health care, the housing crisis and soaring gas prices? Here's one way: Narrow down the presidential race by what really matters to moms--finding a good, reliable babysitter. Easier said than done.

Here's how the candidates stack up:

barack-obama-babysitter PROS:
  • His young daughters could help out.

  • Could teach your kids the "fist bump."

  • Oprah might stop by!
CONS:
  • Hillary will be pissed you didn't ask her first.

  • He campaigns for "change" -- but does that include changing diapers?

  • Opposes any kind of drilling or digging, even in the kid's sandbox.
Vote for Obama for Babysitter!
john-mccain-babysitting PROS
  • The grandfatherly McCain will remind kids of Mr. Rogers.

  • Spent five and a half years as a P.O.W. He can handle torture.

  • If (God forbid) the 72-year-old McCain expires while babysitting--Sarah Palin can be on call.
CONS:
  • Goes to sleep the same time your kids do.

  • Might assert his "maverick" reputation and let your kids run wild.

  • If you take your child to his house, you have to figure out which house.
Vote for McCain for Babysitter!

That was too cute! Loved it! Since McCain reminds me so much of my father I would definetly want him to babysit my kids. They would love him! He’s an awesome person! And, Sarah as backup, what’ not love their? She is beautiful, smart, and funny. My kids would adore her. She’s just like their mom :)

I hope people can lighten up and not turn this into a bashing session. I believe it was written to ease the tension between the two political parties. LIVE, LAUGH, LOVE for goodness sakes.

This is one time i have to say obama truly doesn’t have the experience. McCain has 7 kids— i woudn’t vote for him for president but i think i’d rather him watch my kids.

“This is one time i have to say obama truly doesn’t have the experience. McCain has 7 kids— i woudn’t vote for him for president but i think i’d rather him watch my kids. ” Yes, he has 7 kids…but, he also admitted to having an affair on his first wife! I wouldn’t want my kids being watched by someone who thinks that is okay. Besides, Obama does have experience - with his two children - and so far, they seem pretty well-adjusted. Whereas, Sarah’s kids…well, her teenage daughter is pregnant. That is what happens when you don’t teach kids about birth-control, and think that they will just “know it” when the time comes…

To Can’t stand McCain/Bush So sad…you have no sense of humor. You ruined something that could have been fun by being judgmental and hateful. I feel sorry for you…go get a good comedy and try to laugh a little. You are too damn serious! Maybe you can do that after the votes are counted…or maybe not :)

I got a big kick out of this, thought it was so cute, McCain has my vote, he’s the grandpa that we all grew up with. Has 7 grown kids, what’s that tell you, good man, OBama, to soon to tell his kids are really still young and it looks like mom is doing all the child caring while he’s politicking. Besides this subject is suppose to be off limits to the public when it comes to their children and I agree. But it was still cute to see them holding babies.

The poll on this just doesn’t ad up Momlogic. There was one negative comment and the rest were positive and mostly for McCain. What’s up with that? Somebody’s cheating…haha!!! That’s hysterical!!!! Cheating on who would make a better babysitter. Too funny!!!!

The one who is best qualified to baby sit is Sarah Palin but since she has 5 kids, one knocked up and one with down syndrome I doubt she’d have the time.

I voted for Senator Obama because he wouldnt fall asleep on the job or forget my instructions. My kids would have fun with him, he always has a big smile and a sense of humor. He believes that we are our brother’s keeper, and has often said that he wants every child to have the same opportunity and benefits as his own two daughters, so I have confidence he would keep my children safe.

By the way, the reason he has those houses is because his wife’s family was rich. How dare he marry a wealthy person!!! Just to clear that up because everyone seems to forget. I’d want the hopefully future,President John McCain to watch my children because he isn’t for aborting them. Or killing them by throwing them in a closet to die. That’s always a plus when someone is in charge of something I care about:)

I don’t care for either one of them as for when it comes to “President”. Although for a Babysitter it MUST be Obama!! I have 3 girls and Obama has fantastic girls that have a view on life and they’d be great for my girls!! OBAMA WINS THIS ONE! =) We really need Hillary Clinton back in for President, or AT the very LEAST her helping Obama!~~~~ We NEED A Women and a Black man!!(we need some thing we’ve never had before black man and white girl!) ~~~~ God Bless! ~~ I’m a White Mother that wishes we all can see each other for who we are in the hearts not our skin or the way we talk~~
