Moms are worried about a new study linking plastic to diabetes and cardiovascular disease.
It seems like every day we hear something different about the safety of BPA, which is the chemical in plastic.
But today, the FDA defended its assessment that BPA is safe. ''Right now, our tentative conclusion is that it's safe, so we're not recommending any change in habits,'' said Laura Tarantino, head of the FDA's Office of Food Additive Safety.

It may, or may not, be harmful to you. So just be smart, why take the risk when you don’t need to? Avoid BPA.

Parents can replace plastic toys like children’s blocks with wood ones from family companies like TagToys.com that make all their toys in the USA.

This is the same thing as lead. I don’t know what is right. Everyone is probably exposed to both at some point in their life. I like to use playtex drop in liners when I am not breast feeding.
