The Florida State Attorney's Office has just released documents that include conversations and text messages from Casey Anthony weeks before daughter Caylee was reported missing. Check out the highlights.

Nearly 600 pages of interviews between detectives, family and friends, as well as hundreds of text messages from Anthony's cell phone, have been made public, reports the Orlando Sentinel. Here are the highlights:

Smell in the car

• In late June, Casey Anthony talked to her friend Amy Huizenga about the "horrible smell" in her car and she couldn't figure out the source. She said it smelled like something had died and the odor was coming from the engine. She told her friend that she thought her dad may have hit an animal when he borrowed her car. Days later, she told Huizenga that she found an animal "plastered" to the frame of her car.

• Anthony told her brother Lee Anthony that the smell came from a couple of squirrels that had crawled into the engine and died.

Jealousy between Casey Anthony and her mother

• Cindy Anthony's friend, Brittany Schieber, told detectives there were jealousy issues between the mother and daughter. "Cindy ... told me that her and Casey were having issues because Casey was having a jealousy issue about the relationship between Caylee and her grandmother and she didn't like it."

Text messages

• As the news of Caylee's disappearance and Casey Anthony's lies became public, her friends' text messages changed from friendly banter to feeling of betrayal. "Dude, don't lie or lose your kid and pretend it didn't happen. I have a lot in common with her too," Huizenga texted a friend. "We were really close for months. She fooled us all. You aren't crazy, she is."

• Casey Anthony sent Huizenga dozens of messages about her relationship troubles, planning parties and nights out at bar, with little mention of Caylee, except for a text message dated June 6, in which she tells her friend that she is a "Proud momma" after her daughter used the bathroom for the first time.

I thought this was interesting, Cindy Anthony was being questioned and it was asked when she last heard from Caylee, Cindy made an odd statement the Caylee had called her on Casey’s cell phone, then Cindy was asked “How does Caylee know your telephone number” Cindy responded by says somthing like that her phone number was programed into Casey’s cell phone !! WOW a three year old knows how to actualy use the cell phone, to go through the address book and find Grandma’s number ?? I think it is time that Casey tells the truth, so much time, effort and money as gone into trying to find Caylee when she knew where Caylee was, this has been a very expensive circus when all the efforts should be on other missing children, there was some real issue’s in that family, for one Cindy did’nt know Casey was even pregnant until someone casey told happen to slip up one day in front of Cindy and ask Casey when was she due !! According to Cindy at the memorial she told god and everyone that she was excited when Casey came to her telling her that she was going to have a baby, second why was the first person to ever hold Caylee happen to be Cindy and not Casey?? Dont you think a mother would want to be the first person to hold her own baby, the Doctor cuts the cord and usually places the baby into the mothers arms or on her stomach, Cindy refers to Caylee as her third child in the memorial service, then there was Lee her brother what promise is he keeping that he spoke of, some say the baby might be his which I would hardly think it was, I think his promise is that Casey told him the whole truth about what happened to Caylee and he promised not to tell. I hope Casey gets life, the death penalty would be the easy way out and she needs to suffer a little, she stated to her parents that her life was destroyed by all this and upset that they would not get her out of jail, so see how many parties she goes to in prison while she sits there for life. Yes I thought the memorial service was very nice but I thought they went a little over board, and just who

If there is one “hero” in the Caylee case it is George Anthony.He needs the support to keep him strong. I have no compassion for Casey.She has shown everyone that she didn’t care about her beautiful little girl.Keep her behind bars! She has attempted to DESTROY her family. Branagan945

I love what chris had to say. casey also told her mother via computer that “what has been given can also be taken away” in reference to her mom’s question of where her daughter had taken her granddaughter. this was back on july 7th that casey had responded with that comment to her mother. this is a very telling comment and should be looked into.

Personally, the media has ran with this. We can not form opinions of guilt based on what the public media says. Casey is innocent unless proven guilty in a Court Of Law. At that time it is determined what is allowed as evidence and not allowed. Many innocent people have gone to prison in the past for crimes which years later were found to be innocent of.

I am tired of hearing about Casey! It is not about Casey, Little Caylee is gone. Casie sits in jail and asks her Mother, “what about me? How do you think I feel?” I feel so sorry for Cindy & George Anthony. You can plainly see they love their Granddaughter and wants her home.I do not feel they had anything to do with this at all. You can be the best parents in the world and your child can turn out bad. Casey is selfish, and hateful.I hope she has to live with this for the rest of her life. May God help her. saddened Cheryl in Missouri.

Have you ever heard Casey say, ‘I miss my baby so much’ do you ever see her cry after they found her remains….She is a narcissistic psychopath . What did that baby feel when she could not breath with the duct tape on her mouth….keep her in a jail cell. JMT

Casey killed caylee and i will think that till the day i die or we are proved diff. she has lied several times and if she was really missing like she claimed she would have reported her missing day one! Caitlyn LaTourette in NY

I dont know why everyone feel’s bad for cindy and goerge, they need to sit down and realize the caylee would be here if it were’nt for there daughter that they defend every time they get the chance… they are just as guilty as casey as long as they stand by her side, if she were my daughter she would have been disowned the day she started lying! ANONYMOUS!

I believe George is the father of Caylee that is why he said he was going to kill himself when the police wanted DNA from family members. If George was really thinking of suicide he would have done it. Instead of texting everyone and writhing a five page letter George didn’t want to give his DNA! Cindy knows all this that’s why everyone hates each other in this family they are all sick!!!

chloroform Casey so she KNOWS how her daughter felt as she was going to die… no instant death to Casey… & yes Cindy is the reason Casey turned out this way… lie after lie after lie… first Casey is a good mother, then Casey is a bad mother.. to Casey is a better mom to Caylee then I was to Casey… to Caylee is another child to us… to I have 3 children… to pizza smell after saying smells like death??! there’s a Lot of difference there!!!!!!!!!!!! Casey was spoiled in her life and when Caylee came along Casey was no more spoiled, jealousy set in, and hatred and will she EVER care WHAT she did to her child?? she might if not put to death.. but to die of electrocution? thats too easy… or however Florida does it, is nothing compared to placing a chloroform rag on the nose & mouth suffocating a child…

I can’t believe I am still reading all this crap about casey! but I can’t seem to let go for little caylee’s sake and I’m hoping justice will be served for her sake. I think casey thinks she can smile at everyone and charm her way through this. I watched a video of when she was first arrested and booked and all she could do is smile at the detectives and laugh. That to me is so unbelievable. Could anyone being arrested be that happy??? Casey is not crazy, she is calculating every move with lies and deception. Her last move to her mother was checkmate! I think about kaylee all the time and not even knowing her, it makes me cry. I wonder when casey will quit laughing and smiling? or if ever.

I think the grandparents realized that caylee was killed by their daughter, and now are trying to save casey, by lieing, from what I seen they can both be pretty mean people. I heard that brother lee has a daughter to, I wonder if the grandma is close with her to, or if not why? well, i can see why now, she seems very controling, and get means at times

Cindy Anthony called police because she feared something was wrong with her grand daughter after a month goes by. There is all kinds of events that led upto Cindy calling the police and now cindy wants it hushed up. I have no sympathy for any of the family because of them being accomplices to the murder of their GD,Caylee. If they had there way they would like Casey to be forgiven and life goes on. Cindy is guilty of parenting and pampering a bad seed. They make me sick.Cindy is protecting herself also. They all should be put in jail.

I do not know how a mother can kill her own child !!! I am a mother it sickens me to see Casey Anthony smile and laugh but it enrages me more to see her cry those crocadile tears !!!!

I beleive that Casey gave Caylee Xanex and she overdose her and that where the name Zany came from she use it like a nany so she could go out and do her thing

I’m married to a homicide detective. My husband has smelled “death” many times. He says, if someone says a smell, smells like someone died/death, that’s exactly what it is. It’s a “very” distinct smell. “Nothing” else smells like it. There are too many pieces of the puzzle that are fitting together perfectly against Casey. You don’t have to show “how” someone died. When “all” evidence of things, are put together, it spells QUILT. George and Cindy know their daughter killed Calie. What would be real punishment for Casey, is life, because, she will be put in general public cell, and the inmates will beat the hell out of her for killing a child. So Casey “will suffer”, and needs to suffer everyday. She absolutely deserves this! Don’t you think?!!

I don’t think she killed Caylee. The look in her eyes on all the tapes shows how much she loved that little angel. But I do think she knows who did it.
