Child Finds Dirty Needle at Recess

Parents at a local school are outraged after a child found a used hypodermic needle during recess and poked herself with it. The young girl, an elementary student in Texas, poked three additional children with the needle. Doctors say that needle contained black tar heroin and the children are undergoing testing for HIV and other blood borne illnesses.

Are they not teaching needle safety at schools anymore? One of the first things I remember learning is that if you find a needle, you are supposed to leave it where it is and find an adult. LOL I still find an “adult” if I see one, and I’m 24!

That’s really scary. I hope those kids are ok. I remember hearing about some kids finding a whole bunch of them in a ball pit at McDonalds.
