According to new research, kids aren't looking online for porn -- and it's all because of social networking sites.
Worried your teen is visiting smutty porn sites when you're not home? Well here's good news: Teen usage of online porn sites has dropped significantly, thanks to social networking sites like Facebook and MySpace.
According to Bill Tracer, author of "Click: What Millions of People are Doing Online and Why It Matters," searching for porn had dropped to about 10% of searches from 20% a decade ago, and the hottest Internet searches now are for social networking sites like Facebook.
Analyzing web searches doesn't just reflect what's happening online but it also gives a bigger picture of society and people's behavior. Tracer says it's not because interest in sex has dropped, but because teens just don't have time to indulge -- they're too busy socializing online.
What do you think? Is this a good thing?
