Fall TV Premieres: Set the DVR

Monday, September 8, 2008

After last week's lackluster debuts, we asked the moms around the office which shows they are looking forward to this week.

We polled moms around the office to find out what premieres they are excited about. If the mom heads are in color, they were into it...and if they are in black and white--not so much.

Monday, September 8

8 p.m.: Terminator: The Sarah Connor Chronicles (Fox): 1 out of 10 moms plans to watch the premiere. She's the Trekkie of the office (clearly).

Tuesday, September 9

8 p.m.: Fringe (Fox): 5 out of 10 moms plan to watch the premiere. The Lost ladies love them some J.J.

9 p.m.: Privileged (The CW) 3 out of 10 moms plan to watch the premiere. These are the same moms who claim they watch Gossip Girl "because their kids have it on."

Wednesday, September 10

9 p.m.: 'Til Death (Fox): 0 out of 10 moms plan to watch the premiere. 0.0--not so great.

9:30 p.m.: Do Not Disturb (Fox) 0 out of 10 moms plan to watch the premiere. Ditto.

Thursday, September 11

9 p.m.: Kitchen Nightmares (Fox): 2 out of 10 moms plan to watch the premiere. Strangely, the Gordon Ramsay fans differ from the Top Chef fans. Perhaps it's the evilness.

Friday, September 12

9 p.m.: Don't Forget The Lyrics! (Fox): 0 out of 10 moms plan to watch the premiere. Unless they have a chance to win the money, they aren't tuning in.

Saturday, September 13

1 p.m.: MADtv (Fox): 2 out of 10 moms plan to watch the premiere. These are moms who obviously don't have newborns.

Midnight: Talkshow With Spike Feresten: 1 out of 10 moms plan to watch the premiere. She proudly raised her hand high, but it was strange because she doesn't own a TV.  Who is this guy anyway?

If you are looking for mom-worthy premieres like Grey's Anatomy, The Office, How I Met Your Mother, Two and a Half Men, Dancing With the Stars, The New Adventures of Old Christine, Lipstick Jungle and Ugly Betty, you'll have to wait until later in September. SORRY--we're bummed, too!

I plan on watching Til’ Death. Brad Garrett pulled himself out of his Robert Barrone stereotype and that show is hilarious. Jolie Fisher couldn’t be a better match for him.
