Saturday: I woke up at 7 a.m. to get my hair and make-up done.  Now, I am from Chattanooga, Tenn., and no matter how many times I have had my hair and make-up done for TV shows and photo shoots, I still feel like a princess. This very glamorous ritual where a team of people transform you into a much more beautiful version of yourself is now an entirely different experience with kids running around. I rushed out of the house to shoot two fashion segments for momlogic at the hip store Scoop. As I rushed back home in order to breast feed, I quickly realized I have forgotten my breast pads. My arms stayed folded in the car so the driver wouldn't see my milk stains.

Saturday Night: Tonight was a W magazine cocktail party and the Men's Health cover party honoring my friend, the actress Elizabeth Banks. I am one of those women who don't lose their baby weight until they stop breastfeeding. I actually weigh three more pounds than I did right after getting out of the hospital. It's really no mystery, as I have been eating tons of chocolate chip ice cream every night for the last seven weeks.  Now, I didn't drink at all when I was pregnant, but mama likes her wine every now and then. At the Pump Station in Los Angeles I found "testing strips" that test the amount of alcohol in your breast milk. If it turns brown, you should pump and dump. I had a few glasses throughout the night and the strip was dark brown. Needless to say, I had to dump it.

Sunday: I ran out the door to go to the Mel B /Chloe Kardashian fashion shoot. I interviewed them as well as talked to the woman who created the water bra. She said she came up with the idea when her bosoms fell to the floor after breastfeeding her children. I asked a few of the uber skinny models what they had for breakfast that morning (NOTHING!!!!) and rushed home after the show to breast feed.

Sunday night: My son had another one of his screaming moments as I was rushing out the door for the Tori Burch show. I arrived right at the end of the presentation and thought "it's just not worth it." I was so frazzled from my son's tantrum. One of my friends from Los Angeles, who was also in town, ran up to say hello. When she asked how I liked the show, I burst into tears -- definitely not the reaction she was expecting, because the clothes were beautiful!

Monday: Time for the Domino and Marie Claire fashion parties. Once again, the beauty brigade arrived -- and my sisters and I headed out looking much better than we did earlier. At Marie Claire, a few of the big names attending were Lindsay Lohan, The Olsen sisters and Heidi Klum. The party was in honor of Nina Garcia ("Project Runway") who is now their fashion director. It was on the roof of Milk studios where lots of the covers are shot. Got home around 1 p.m. This time I didn't have to pump and dump because I had only had one glass of wine! :)

Tuesday: The next morning we headed to the airport and my son only screamed for the first three hours ... sigh. I met a few moms at the baggage claim in Los Angeles who shared their tips on traveling. One had ten children and they gave me some pointers on how to handle the early terrible 2s...

HOME: It was a hectic, fun and exhausting few days -- Fashion Week looks fun and glamorous on the outside (and it is) but once you have children, rushing to a show or attending a celebrity party is nothing compared to being with your babies.
