Plan a Ghost Hunt:
If you have a digital voice recorder, some flashlights, a video camera and plenty of batteries lying around, gather a few of your friends and plan a good old fashioned ghost hunt. Pick up a copy of Weird US and see if there are any noteworthy haunted locations near you. Just be careful, wandering around in a dark, unfamiliar setting can quickly result in an injury if everyone isn't paying close attention!
Local Scares:
You can plan a trip to some of more famous haunted locations near you. For instance, the Queen Mary in Long Beach, California or the Eastern State Penitentiary in Philadelphia. Or, visit your local theme park for some scary Halloween fun!
The Haunted Garage:
It may be too much to turn your home into a haunted house, but the garage will suit just fine! Add strobe lights for effect and cover the walls with dark fabrics for the ultimate effect. If your garage has two doors, make one the entrance and create a spook-filled pathway to the exit. Accent your attraction with spooky music, fog and other Halloween standbys. Just be sure to put away the pitchfork and garden shears -- you don't need a Halloween accident on your hands.
