It’s better than her (so-called) sexy salad.

Seems like a great idea but I’m not so sure my daughters school would like these sticks to be part of her lunch. Kids can be kids afterall.

Oh yes, because I overheard a mother saying that children aren’t allowed to even wear jewelry to school. No necklaces, rings, bracelets, anything. But 50 years ago, you could have taken jewelry, sticks, pretty much any innocent thing. But the way kids are raised these days, they won’t even be allowed to sharpen pencils before too long. It’s called showing your child how to act at home, so that they don’t give teachers and peers a lot of problems. Oh but if we say ‘NO’, then they will be scarred for life. I think that lunch is a great idea, and actually my mom did the exact same thing. No one else’s mother did that, so of course it was considered ‘strange’. But then again, my taking a stand for ‘right’ is also considered ‘strange’ these days.

I think that is a good idea for kids who get sick of eating the “same old thing” day after day. This is a fun way to get kids involved in helping make their own lunch too! I may even try this at home with my 2 year old…supervising him closely of course!
