McCain Camp Calls Tina Fey Sexist

Tuesday, September 16, 2008

John McCain's advisor, Carly Fiorina, called Tina Fey's Saturday Night Live impersonation of Sarah Palin sexist for comparing her to Hillary Clinton in the must-see video of the week. Wait. What?

In other easily offended news, Cindy McCain told the crowd at the 199th annual Oakland County Republican Party's Lincoln Day Dinner that the women on The View really chapped her hide after they called McCain's campaign ads "lies." Check out the clip from The View.

I totally disagree with the idea that Tina Fey might be even remotely sexist. How do you get that from this skit? It was a really funny skit, and I think Tina Fey looked and sounded a lot like Palin. Mind you that I think that Palin did a great job delivering her acceptance speech at the convention, and during her interview with Charles Gibson she faltered a bit. Does she know a lot about national and international politics? I’m not sure. The skit simply used many of her sound bites in jest. SNL pokes fun at political figures. The McCain campaign should be flattered that SNL did a skit about one of their candidates.

Tina Fey is a mom, Amy Poeler is expecting, John McCain is running for president and Sarah Palin is running as his vice. So, yes. This has something to do with moms. Unless you don’t care about the future of your children.

Please don’t waste your time commenting on something so stupid. Come up with something we can actually discuss MomLogic. Frankly, I am very disappointed in you…Can’t you find anything intelligent to talk about? Tanning beds and an SNL skit. Who cares? Really!!! Here is an idea, Sarah Palin, has vowed to help other families with special needs children. Have someone talking about one of the challenges a family with special needs has faced so Sarah Palin can better help them when elected into office. Or how about a parent with a teenager who is pregnant. Have the parent talk about how Sarah Palin can come up with programs to help these teenagers in their community. Perhaps a program that helps them finish high school and continue their education in College. People do face these challenges and I am sure Sarah Palin would be happy to hear about them so she can make things better for them. These are real issues and there are alot of people who fight everyday for help. My sister who is now 39 faced more challenges in school than you could even imagine. Somehow after 30 something major surgeries she was able to graduate with her class. There were very few people in the school that actually supported her or even my family, for that matter. This is a real issue for special needs children and their families. There needs to be better, more advanced training for those working with special needs children. So, momlogic get to the real issues. You are not helping moms with these ridiculous stories. We want real stories of peoples lives and how our politicians can help. Let’s get away from the bashing and get on to some informative stories.
