To be filed under the "This Is So Sad" category, cops in Wisconsin arrested a 33-year-old women this week after she allegedly stole her 15-year-old daughter's identity so she could go back to high school and join the cheerleading squad. Her motive? To get a second chance at a childhood she felt she never had.

One student admitted Brown did look a little older, but said, "You just go aw, all right, whatever."

Authorities say Brown has a long rap sheet of identity theft. She's currently behind bars on nearly $10,000 bail.

Is this sad ... or criminal? What do you think?

What that daughter must be thinking of her mom right now, wow.

Criminal. While she was “pretending” to be a student, her daughter wasn’t getting an education.

That is so sad. She is obviously disturbed. I feel for the daughter, think of the embarrassment. That is going to ruin her daughter. That lady doesn’t even look like she’s anywhere close to high school age. Why would she think she could get away with it?
C-R-A-Z-Y!!!!!

I think this lady is just straight crazy in the head… i understand that if you had a bad childhood then dont embarrass your daughter just to get what you want.. give your daughter the childhood you never had .. i think it is sad and criminal!!!!!

With a long history of that type of crime, her first mistake was to use her daughter’s idenity. Parents these days just are not setting good examples for their children.
Sad case and yes, criminal as well

I think this is just a sad thing and whle the extremism of this mothers actions are rare, there are a lot of parents who try to live vicariously through their children. One can see it on full display at the ball fields and dance studios of America. If I remember right, her daughter lives somewhere else with the father so her deception was somewhat easier, but I have to agree she does look older than a 15 yr old. I’m 38 and am constantly asked if I am younger, but c’mon NOT THAT YOUNG!

It’s criminal! She doesn’t even have custody of her daughter, who was/is in school in NV & she did this! She’s nuts!

What a CRAZY CRAZY thing this women did! My God, what was she REALLY thinking? She wanted to be a cheerleader? Hum, Maybe she is just a child molester and wanted to get close to younger girls in the locker room! Think about it…who in their right mind would think they could get away with this stupid stunt?!! I think she has a sick disturbed mind!

I think at one point we all thought about and she actually had the guts to do it and pull it off.
I do not think it is criminal and she should not be in jail..she should be getting a mental eval

silvia September 17, 2008, 1:04 PM

I think what she did was a little crazy but I don’t think It such a big deal she only try to re-live her teenage years,by becoming a cheerleader probably back then her parents could not afford the cost and her dream was ruin. So she felt no harm on doing what she did.

I had to physically close my mouth when I read this SAD was the first thing that came to my mind. I don’t really think it was criminal because she never really did anything illegal with the identity of her daughter. I can only hope she did it in a town and school where her child/(ren) don’t attend. I hope she gets some SERIOUS mental health. This is a TRUE sign/call for help! Prayers to her family.

She is consider a criminal, But can you blame her for wanting to go back to school and do what she always wanted to do? atleast she didnt do anything worst but is a crime and you have to pay.

I was born and raised in Los Angeles California and have been earning a living within the business for that majority of my life. One of my present projects is a forum for that fashion business.
