Oprah's show is closed to Sarah Palin: Obama supporter Oprah Winfrey isn't entertaining the idea of interviewing Sarah Palin on her popular talk show. "At the beginning of this presidential campaign when I decided that I was going to take my first public stance in support of a candidate, I made the decision not to use my show as a platform for any of the other candidates," Winfrey stated. Alaskan Governor Sarah Palin was recently the first woman nominated to a Republican presidential ticket.

Casey Anthony posts bond again: Casey Anthony, the mother of missing 3-year-old Caylee, posted her $500,000 bond and was released from jail this morning. Casey made no comment as she was escorted to a waiting car, swarmed by reporters who were crying, "Casey, where is Caylee?" Casey has been a "person of interest" in the the disappearance of her daughter since it was reported in mid-July. Investigations are still ongoing.

Heart and Van Halen in uproar over Republican convention:
Classic rock groups Heart and Van Halen claim that the McCain campaign used their songs without permission during the Republican National Convention. In an e-mail to EW.com, both sisters of Heart say that "Sarah Palin's views and values in NO WAY represent us as American women. We ask that our song 'Barracuda' no longer be used to promote her image." Van Halen similarly made a statement in regards to the use of his 1991 hit "Right Now" that "had they asked, permission would not have been granted."

Can you tell how orgasmic a woman is by her walk? Researchers from the University of the West of Scotland are claiming that they can tell a woman's history of vaginal orgasm simply by observing the way she walks. This study, published in The Journal of Sexual Medicine, found that trained sexologists were able to identify vaginal orgasm in test subjects with more than 80 percent accuracy. They observed that the sum of the stride length and vertebral rotation was greater with the vaginally orgasmic women. "This could reflect the free, unblocked energetic flow from the legs through the pelvis to the spine," researchers stated.

Well, Oprah is narrowing her platform and audience. I didn’t stop watching her completely because I disagree with HER views on homosexuality and this new age crap about how important “self” is. No doubt, we live in a free country and thats the beauty of choice but I think this is a bad business decision for her.

Oprah has gotten much too self-important for me. I stopped watching a few years ago. This just illustrates it all the more. I want to hear everyone and where they stand. How else will we know what they are all saying?

For the life of me I cannot understand why research dollars are going to fund that orgasm study!

With all the actual diseases & illnesses in the world, why would anyone use precious research money to fund the study something so useless?

Don’t get me wrong. I’m not anti-orgasm. Orgasms themself are important…..and for those who have actual medical issues in relation to their orgasms, then of course research in that area is needed.

But what is the point of this particular study? How does the outcome of their research improve anyone’s quality of life???

It’s a tragic waste of money, effort, time, and brain power.

Karen it sounds like to me you are married and orgasms left when you gave up on sex for it only happens maybe once a month. The sad thing is there is a lot of woman that are probably in the same situation as you and for guys like me in this world who need any information we can get about keeping our woman interested this is great research being done. Dont take it personal but its the truth.

I used to watch Oprah on a semi-regular basis. I stopped after being irked by a couple of episodes: the one where they remodeled Kirsty Alley’s kitchen and remodeled the one of a lady who had an overly-country themed kitchen. Both ladies could very well afford to have done this for themselves. I think it just rubbed me the wrong way because the show should have remodeled a home for someone who could not afford to do so.
I don’t care to hear anything else that comes from Palin’s mouth, to be honest. Although don’t belong to either party, in the past I’ve tended to vote Republican. Not this time. I hate to imagine McCain dying in office and leaving Palin in charge.

If Oprah had Obama on her show and say’s she dosen’t want to use her show as a platform, then what the hell did she have him on for. I say equal rights to all who is running. I also quit watching Oprah because she get’s on my nerves. I voted Democrat last time this time all the way Republican. Go McCain/Palin.

Good post! Nice reading. I’ve just got one observation to make about tee shirts.
