NYC couple expecting sextuplets:
Victor, 34, and Digna Carpioare, 31 are set to become the second NYC couple in history to have sextuplets. The Queens couple, who underwent fertility treatments, learned they were expecting sextuplets about five months ago when Digna fell sick during a gym workout. "I suddenly felt faint, and my heart began racing wildly," she told the NY Daily News. Digna was taken to the hospital where doctors discovered she was two weeks pregnant. A few weeks later, a sonogram showed she was carrying multiple babies--four boys and two girls. The Carpioares have just nine weeks to prepare for their new family. They already have a 7-year-old son.

Woman, 59, gives birth to triplets:
After seeking fertility treatments in Vietnam, a 59-year-old woman gave birth to triplets at a French hospital. The news has drawn national criticism in the French media since it's illegal in France to provide fertility treatment to women who are no longer at an age when they can procreate naturally. The woman who gave birth by Caesarean section had two boys and a girl. The mother and the babies are all in good health.
