Moms Are Talking About

Lynne Spears says, 'Every mother makes mistakes': Lynne Spears says that even knowing what she knows now, she would still let her daughters Britney and Jamie Lynn pursue stardom.
"I think you have to let them follow their dreams," she says in
a new interview with People. "I think it would be worse in the end if
you didn't." But she does express regrets about not listening to her "gut" at times: "Was I the perfect mom? No."
Newborn abandoned in toilet: A visitor to Beijing's National "Bird's Nest" Stadium was shocked to find an infant abandoned in one of the venue's toilets. According to the Beijing Times, the baby was found in the toilet, with blood still on its body. Volunteers and staff searched for the mother for two hours, then sent the baby to a hospital. The child was in good health and feeding but the whereabouts of the mother remain unclear.
Another family sues Crocs: The family of a child whose foot was maimed in an escalator accident at an Atlanta airport is suing Crocs Inc., saying the footwear company didn't put safety features in the soft-soled shoes. The lawsuit filed by Clark Meyer, the father of the 4-year-old boy, seeks $2 million in damages. According to Meyer's attorney, the boy was riding an escalator at the airport when the machinery mangled his Crocs and "severely and permanently damaged" his right foot. The shoe company has promised to insert safety tags into its packaging by next year. At least three children were injured in the last three months when Atlanta airport escalators damaged their Crocs.
VIDEO: Obama's "Lipstick on a Pig" comment creates controversy: Sen. Barack Obama said yesterday, "You can put lipstick on a pig. It's still a pig." The problem for him is it appeared to relate directly to Gov. Palin's remark at the GOP convention that "lipstick" is what separates a hockey mom from a pit bull. The AP notes his comment was received with "an outbreak of laughter, shouts and raucous applause from his audience." The AP adds "McCain's campaign called the comments 'offensive and disgraceful' and said Obama owes Palin an apology."

Typical Republicans - making a big deal out of nothing and taking the focus off of the important matters that they haven’t even spoken up about yet. It’s almost like 2004 all over again. What a joke.
Maybe they should stop selling crocs.
Maybe they should check the escalators at the ATL airport.
When McCain says the “Lipstick” comment, its just a comment. However, when Obama says the same comment, he is being sexist. This is ridiculious.
Wasn’t Obama talking about McCain’s economic policies? It’s interesting that the first thing the McCain campaign thinks of when they hear “lipstick” and “pig” is their VP pick…
Why do we care about celebrities again?
Why did they wait 2 hours to take the baby to the hospital?
Crocs are ugly, elevators need to be safer, and kids prefer to make their own mistakes.
Obama is almost as good at public speaking as GWB. That awkward pause just before the comment makes me think he knew this would be an underhanded comment.
Crocs are so dumb and ugly-stop putting them on your kids feet! We have heard of the problems of Crocs and escalator’s for a long time now; why wouldn’t these parents think of either using the stairs or carry him if they are going to put Crocs on their kids feet. Duh!!! Talk about stupid parents, protect your kids-people!
The republicans are trying to avoid discussing the real issues of our nation by bringing up petty things just like a little child.
Why do people let their children wear Crocs everywhere in the first place? They are ill fitting, floppy shoes that are constantly causing children of all ages trip and fall. They are fine for wearing in the yard I guess or around the house if you must have them but PLEASE put your children in proper footwear! These people have no right to sue ANYONE! When are people going to start taking responsibility for them selves and their children.
Interesting article. Good and fun reading. I just have one opinion to make about funny shirts.

Typical Democrat, you can’t stand toe-to-toe on the issues, so you have to use insults.
