Casey Anthony tells officials: 'I lied': Police release explosive audio tapes of missing tot mom Casey Anthony being interviewed and interrogated by investigators. She initially told police she currently worked at Universal as an event coordinator, but that ended up being false. When police asked her why she lied, she said: "Because I'm scared and I know I'm running out of options. It's been a month." When police asked again why they were at Universal investigating her false lead, she said: "Because I lied. Because I brought you up here. And honestly I was reaching for another avenue." Do you think she killed Caylee? Comment below.

Hurricane Ike slams into Texas coast: Hurricane Ike's storm surge flooded Galveston's historic district early Saturday, sparked fires and knocked out power. Heavy winds continued to pummel the coastal region more than four hours after the storm made landfall as a Category 2 storm. Even before daylight arrived, damage was considered extensive. Thousands of homes and government buildings flooded, roads were washed out, 2.9 million people lost power and several fires burned unabated as crews could not reach them. The biggest fear was that tens of thousands of people had defied orders to flee and would need to be rescued from submerged homes and neighborhoods.

Wisconsin mom poses as daughter to become cheerleader: A 33-year-old woman is accused of stealing her daughter's identity to attend high school and join the cheerleading squad. Wendy Brown is charged with felony identity theft after enrolling in a Wisconsin high school as her daughter. The criminal complaint says Brown admitted to telling school officials she was 15 because she wanted to get her high school diploma and join the cheerleading squad. She allegedly attended practices, received a cheerleader's locker and went to a pool party at the coach's house. Her daughter lives in Nevada with Brown's mother.

Trains collide near Los Angeles, at least 17 dead: A commuter train carrying 222 people collided head-on with a freight train during the Friday afternoon rush, killing at least 17 people, injuring dozens and trapping an unknown number of others in a passenger car crushed by its own engine. The search for survivors continues.

She did something..killed her, sold her, left her somewhere. But absolutely responsible.

I absolutely think Casey is 100% responsible for the “disappearence” of her daughter. I fully believe she has done harm to her child and has consistently tried to cover it up. The details are slowly coming together and the truth will be revealed, but with no help from Casey, I’m convinced. This reminds me so much of the Scott Peterson saga and how he continued to “search” for his wife and in the end he was found guilty of murdering her. He sits in prison now awaiting death and still says he never did it! I believe Casey will get the death penalty and up until the moment of her last breath, she will still say Caylee is with the babysitter. I believe NOTHING will make her confess to what she has done! This truly is a sad sad situation and it’s too bad no one sought psychiatric help for Casey earlier. I believe she showed plenty of signs of not being mentally stable before this happened. The really agrivating part of all this though, is how her family continues to support her and believe her. They really think Caylee is still alive and with someone who mysteriously took her. Just think of how many people are directly effected by Casey’s actions. It really is not fair to ANYONE, but especially Caylee.

We all know she is guilty of withholding info that could bring her daughter home. I believe she killed her as punishment to her mother for giving Caylee more attention than she was getting. This way, all eyes are on her. She will never tell were that baby is because then the media, protesters, and everyone else will put her on the shelf and forget all about her. I also think Jose Baez is in lust !!!!!!

Yeah, I agree Jose Baez has a “thing” for Casey. I’m sure she has a history of sleeping with guys in order to get what she wants. But that will not work this time, I hope.

I heard the bounty hunter (Leonard Padilla) on Nancy Grace 2 days ago reveal that Cindy and George Anthony first agreed to a polygraph test and then refuse. What are they hiding or covering up?? Why haven’t we heard more about this? I’m tired of everyone saying the grandparents are victims. What is the real story? George Anthony angrily yelled “the body in the trunk was not my granddaughter’s body!!” How many bodies did Casey have in the trunk???

One thing I remember. The mother said it was a “rotting pizza” that was to blame for the “smell of decomposition” in the trunk of the car. I don’t think pizza could ever smell like decomposing flesh. It might smell bad, but not that bad.

I too think it was a revenge of sorts. Cindy was probably on Casey all the time about Caylee. (and apparently rightfully so) I think it may have been an “accident” (accident in that she didn’t intend to kill her only subdue her) in the use of the chloroform. Casey will now never admit to anything because Cindy was right. Casey was not capable of taking care of that baby. She took Caylee away from Cindy in a fit of rage and then realized that she couldn’t handle being a parent full time.

I feel Casey didn’t intend to harm or kill her daughter but that it did happen and she tried to cover it up. She tried frantically to contact her parents and couldn’t reach either of them. I think that had she been able to, this whole thing would have been over and the baby would have a proper burial. Cassy has spun a web of lies and because of this, could end up facing capitol murder charges instead of accidental homicide. I think the grandparents realize their grandaughter is probably dead and now are facing losing their daughter to the death penalty. My heart does break for them as a grandmother, I couldn’t imagine what they are feeling. I also couldn’t imagine a month going by without speaking to my grandaughter. I know I would have contacted the police much sooner knowing Casey has a history of lying and stealing. On another note, Could Casey have gotten involved with some bad people and mixed up in a murder? Could it have been another body in the trunk? Could those people have taken Caylee? Only Casey knows !

Just an alternative scenerio/thought — What if the search for chloraform has nothing to do with this dissapearance but instead has to do with Casey planning to drug her parents to steal more and/or Casey was not the one searching for chloraform but her parents were? Potential scenerio — parents at wits end consider drugging this out of control adolescent and taking away the grandchild while she comes to her senses. Casey is drugged as well as Caylee and transported somewhere where she wakes up and truelly does not recall what happened some drugs affect the memory. The flurry of calls to her parents occur when Casey realizes Caylee is missing after coming out of a drug haze and thinks her parents may have her. The comment to Lee about her mother knowing about a mothers sense of her child being close — a cue to her mother that she actually knows about the involvement in taking Caylee away and has the ability to blow this out of the water if Cindy does not protect her. The comments to her friend about getting the house etc. related to her belief that her mother had someone take Caylee and Casey can use that to blackmail her way into getting everything and making them move away. Not concerned about Caylee because she thinks Cindy has stashed her safely. Makes her behavior seem a little less bizarre huh? Just a theory — what if parts of what she says are true by what she can recall after a drug haze. Dropped the child off with a babysitter (remebered from a past action and inserted in where her mind has no memory) The abductors hired by Cindy and/or George actually trace Casey by the car and complete the pick up of the two but something goes wrong and Caylee is killed — Cindy can’t really say — Oops the people I hired to teach my daughter a lesson accidentally killed my grandchild — she would go to jail for hiring the kidnappers, and causing the death indirectly. Maybe Cindy does not know that Caylee has been killed and does believe the kidnappers she hired have her awaiting payment for their part in the retrieval — with all the publicity she can’t go pay them off and retrieve her OR a thrid party made the arrangements who now cannot contact Cindy or does not want

I think she used chloroform on her to make her sleep and overdosed her one time and she obviously can’t tell the police because who chloroforms their child.

I am certain it was murder after listening to the tapes. Casey is a really bad liar who makes no sense. Someone who’s brain functions like that has no business being in charge of a child. No one explains how the abandoned car has DNA, dead body smell, confirmed by an FBI lab. Both grandparents said 1. It wasn’t Caylee’s dead body, and 2. It was a dead body put in there at the tow yard. How many dead bodies find there way into Casey’s car??? They also make no sense and cannot possibly expect to be believed. Also, no one abandons a car because it’s out of gas; you pour a gallon in there and drive it to a gas station. Therefore, since her goal is to provide no truthful info to help save the child, she knows she killed her and will be in big trouble if the body is found.

I find it very interesting that Cindy went to a therapist to get help to find a way to get custody of Caylee when she had the powers herself. From what i have heard about this family Casey has never been made to take resonsiblity for anything ahe has done in her life so when she stole from her grandparents they had the power to prosecute her and then when Casey was jailed they would have been given custody while Casey went to jail but no I heard that Cindy talked the family out of bringing charges against her wrong thing to do. Maybe none of this would have happened. Also i heard that Caylee was more attached to grandma then her mommy and i feel that Casey could not handle it so in a fit of jealously something happened. I hope that they can bring Caylee home and get some kind of clouser for the family.Yet i would love to see that beautiful child come home alive but i just don’t think so.

She is responsible, no doubt about it. It just blows me away that she can go on with her daily life as if nothing ever happened. She is obviously suffering from some sort of mental illness. Every picture I have seen of her she is either smiling or just has a blank stare on her face. Its as if she’s relieved her daughter is gone. Its almost like she’s enjoying all this attention. She is definitely a peice of work thats for sure. But who are we to judge right? She’ll have to answer to a higher power someday, and if she did kill her she will forever burn in the pits of hell. Maybe then she’ll show a little emotion.

I know someone who is young, has three kids and is a liar like this. Scary huh? It seems that people like this are taking a small thread of the truth and embellishing it to suit themselves. I think that in “liar’s code” the answers might be: “I left her with someone I trusted and they betrayed me” = I trusted the choloroform (zanny the nanny) to do it’s job like it had before but it killed Caylee. “I don’t know where Caylee is” = someone else disposed of her body. “I feel she is nearby and is okay”= The person buried her close to home and she is okay because she is in heaven. “I have been looking for her” = I have driven around trying to figure where the person buried her or have been on the internet getting info to put a story together. People I have known who lie like this do have some connection with reality but they fill in the blanks as they wish not with facts. Also they seem to have no regard as to the ability of the person to whom they are lying being able to disprove what they are saying. Even to the point of denying truth that is staring them in the face.

I think she killed the little girl out of jealousy and to really hurt her own mother Cindy. I believe they refused the lie detecter test because one of them helped her dispose of Caylees body. Possibly the father, George.
