Carroll: Sidney Poitier is a slimeball!: The legendary Diahann Carroll, TV's first black sitcom star, says Sidney Poitier is a vicious back-stabber. In her new book, The Legs Are the Last to Go, Carroll claims Poitier convinced her to dump her husband and promised that he would leave his wife to be with her. Then Poitier, she alleges, went back on his promise and started to harass her. "Sidney called me at my hotel," she writes, "'You bitch, whore, tramp,' he yelled. 'I know he just left your bed. I won't have you running around with other men. You belong to me!'"
