Trans fats linked to miscarriage

A study conducted by Cincinnati's Jewish Hospital Cholesterol Center says trans fatty acids may also increase the risk of fetal death during pregnancy. Trans fatty acids (a.k.a. trans fats), are common in processed foods which contain partially hydrogenated oils. Lead study authors say the rate of fetal loss increased from 30% among those with the lowest intake of trans fat to 52% percent among women with the highest intake of trans fats.
