Police in Ohio have arrested a 15-year-old girl on juvenile child pornography charges for allegedly sending naked cell phone pics of herself to classmates. The girl was arrested Friday and held in juvie over the weekend.
The girl was not identified. Charges may also be filed against the other students who received the photos. The Ohio attorney general's office says an adult convicted of the child
pornography charge would be required to register as a sexual offender, but a judge would be flexible with a convicted juvenile.

Most young people do incredible dumb things. They learn from their mistakes. That is part of growing up. To criminalize this girl and leave her with a permanent criminal record would be very sad indeed. Her life at 15 is just beginning.

i think this is really sad. i monitor my kids computer and phones- i have a 14 and 17 year old sons.i can not tell you how many girls have sent them nude or very inappropriate photos! lots. something needs to be done but i am not sure that child pornography punishment for pictures of themselves is right. but definitely some sort of counseling or something needs to be done.

I agree that kids do foolish things that they don’t always think through or think about—mistakes do happen as well. I have to admit it is a good think all of this technology was not around when we were young…that way we don’t have to worry about being “on film.” With phones with cameras everywhere these days, can you imagine if these things were as popular and available as when we were young… gulp…

Look listen yea I agree with all of yall 110%.And look im 15 ok and I will admit we do do stupid things.Yes most of the time we don’t think most things through sometimes.But look were young and we make mistakes,but thats how we learn ok.
