Body Language Expert: Palin Won the Debate Hands Down

Friday, October 3, 2008

Find out why in a Momlogic exclusive interview.

sarah palin

Body language expert Dr. Lillian Glass analyzed last night's VP debate ... and says Sarah Palin was the clear winner.

Here's why, according to Dr. Glass:

• When Palin first got to the stage, she blew a kiss, which is typically unprofessional and certainly unpresidential. But at the same time, it's endearing and refreshing. It's something we haven't seen before.

• She looked right into the camera, really connecting with her audience. Biden kept looking away, and referring to the host, which was disconnecting.

• Palin's folksy, and she knows it works ... so she's really playing it, milking it. It makes her likable to many people.

• The only time Palin faltered is when she was talking about Israel, a heavy issue. But she got right back on her feet.

• Palin's smile and winks are coquettish and charming. People respond to them because it's refreshing. We've seen the smug curmudgeonly faces for so long, it's a nice change.

Do you agree?

I do not agree at all. Her body language may have been better, but she certainly was not the winner in this debate. Palin made so many false statements throughout this debate that it was obvious she had no idea what she was talking about. I’m actually nervous she could possibly be elected the Vice President.

I don’t see her as folksy. I see her as normal, honest, and a high energy person. She looked very professional and smart to me. Women are not men. They are women. Women bring their own personalities and skills to the arena. Governor Palin has found a good way to bring a professional attitude to her work world while at the same time maintaining her feminism. She is the first really great female role model young women have had. Lots of mean, nasty comments on these pages. Shame on you. Says more about you than anyone else.

oh, you people are so pathetic. all your miserable stupid lives you’ve heard the lie that Republicans are male chauvinists and elitist rich fat cats. So they put forward a decent, reasonably intelligent woman who comes from a working class family and town, and you savage her from your OWN elitist SNOT NOSES. Why? Because of your BIGOTED antichristian, socialist/marxists brainwash jobs you got from the DNC Media? YOU PIGS.

Sarah Palin is just absolutely wonderful and the have my vote. I think she is so sharp and honest. I believe she will attempt to do everything in her power to change things up and that is what we need. Get rid if the Bidens and the Questionable Obama. I do not trust him to be anything he says he is. Even Biden didn’t like him till he ask him to be VP. We need some one like Sarah in there that will do what she says she will do and you can “darn well bet” she is honest and will go for that which is best for america. She has morals which the liberal left hasn’t a clue about. That is why they oppose her for they do not understand the goodness and honesty in some one when they see it. We need Sarah and John for they are truly american people that will change america for the best in many areas. Obama is not someone to be trusted. and the recent lies from Biden prove that he is just as bad as Obama. John and Sarah are the change america needs.

They both did a very good job. Palin somehow managed to make herself the center of gravity of the debate, however, and she seemed to win just by not losing. The better Biden did — and he did very well — the better Palin looked in holding her own with him. Frankly, I think Obama can count himself lucky he doesn’t have to debate Palin. That’s one loaf of baloney she’d have sliced very thin.

I liked the way Sarah Palin talks the same way to everybody - as she pointed out, unlike some other two-faced career politicians. Anyone who bad-mouths Sarah can kiss my “Obama”.

Hey Helene, Here’s a map link for you to consult: http://go.hrw.com/atlas/norm_htm/arctic.htm We share the Arctic Ocean waters with Russia, Sweden, Norway, Greenland, and Canada. The Arctic Circle, (that arbitrary line of latitude at 66.5° North), crosses all of the above countries plus Alaska. We’re way “up here” (hence “up there” when we’re “down there”). We happen to enjoy our Governor’s “you betcha’s” and “darn right’s” because that is who she is. She’s real. She speaks to the American people exactly the same way she speaks to us when we bump into her in Walmart or Safeway. We know she’s not going to feed us some political talking point BS. You could only be so privileged to have Sarah as your VP - you would get an honest person who will stand by her word of reform and open government which is something there is precious little of in Washington. Just a little info from “up here” in Wasilla, AK Helene on October 3, 2008 7:32 PM wrote: I couldn’t stomach the “you betcha’” and “darn right”s or the “up there” (in Alaska) - how “up there” is Alaska from the rest of the US?

The idea of her being vp is horrifying. The women actually insulted the dictators of every country that hates our guts on live tv. You know we have to deal with these people, if she gets into office, then tentions with them could get worst. Especially when you look at the cultures, women are inferior to them, for her to do that could cause us major problems. I don’t like palin at all, but i certainly hope she doesn’t ever visit those countries, they would probably behead her.

Let’s face it Governor Palin is a fantastic VP candidate. Those of you who are negative and over the top are like those ridiculous SNL skits. You are obviously scared *#@&less about her. She doesn’t measure up to your pathetic view of life. Put on a fresh pair of glasses and take a good look at this woman. She’s the future and it’s only just begun. Thank you Governor Palin for stepping up to the plate. Our country needs your ability to reach the American people who want leadership not BS from the mentally and spiritual bankrupt. You all protest too much.

Sarah handed Biden his booty making him look like the used car salesman he is. His son is a lobbyist and crooked Lawyer in Washington contributing to their campaign - part of the reason Obama picked Biden - money and experience.

Lizzie: your “decent” Palin is a woman who is willing to leave an infant for power. A woman who is against sex ed and supposedly has your republican “family values” and managed to raise a daughter who got pregnant without being married and who is a teen. Are these your family values? Your Christian values? Oh what, you will “excuse” this? Two-faced don’t you think? Oh and you think she is middle class? She is climbing the ladder like every politician and she does not care about you.

Kate: Having, or promoting family and Christian values yet supporting ANY person who is not perfect does not make one two-faced. As typical, those who claim to be so progressive, accepting and non-judgmental can’t seem to ACCEPT that those who believe in family/Christian values don’t judge people solely on their mistakes or failings because we are fully aware that not one person walking the face of this planet is perfect. Sarah is not “leaving” her infant for power… and Lizzie - she DOES care about you as well as every other American. The people of Alaska can attest to Sarah being for the people, not out for power.

I believe Gov. Palin to be a loving and strong American women. But that doesn’t mean I want her to be one heart beat away from running the most powerful entity on this planet. I think she is filling her seat in Alaskan government just fine and IS NOT THE WOMEN I WOULD PICK FOR MY VICE PRESIDENT! ABP…. ANYBODY BUT PALIN! AND I AM A REPUBLICAN!

I, too see Sarah Palin as just a normal gal, THAT’S THE PROBLEM!!! If the VP of the United States can relate to me, we have an issue. I don’t want a candidate I could go huntin’ with, or pop open a six-pack with. I want someone educated, experienced, not a lipstick totin’ hockey mom. I look at the trail she’s blazed, and I see alot of personal failures. If she can’t even keep her kids in line, how can we EVER trust her to deal with anyone of importance in Washington. She would be another American embarrassment, just like BUSH. I’m shocked that people want to elect someone they can “relate” to. This is NO job for an average person. BTW: Did anyone see Palin’s tax returns, turns out she’s not as much like us as she claims. I see why she would be against taxing the wealthy, she’s knocking on the door herself!

Palin did great, Biden after just how many years in the Senate was an utter fool… sorry, I doubt the American people are as ignorant as you Obamites believe. I will attempt to explain to the Obama-mama’s, papas and mindless buffoons reading this. Sure the bar may not have been set to high for Palin; she rocketed over it. Biden… a past Presidential candidate (several times) was an utter disappointment and failure. His command of the facts… how to put it politely, was abysmal… after 30 years or more as a debater and a Congressman he should have been accurate (Is this what you Obamites want as a VP… an inaccurate blatant liar). It is no wonder he really never was a serious candidate for President and he sure the heck is not one for the VP slot. If Biden could not pull himself together to handle 90 minutes of debate accuracy what makes you think he is not lying to you supporters at this very minute about what an administration under Obama and him would really be like! I see blatant socialism wrapped in a sheep’s skin!

What’s refreshing about Sarah is that she is one of us. The pro-abortion, pro-socialist nearly inhuman DNC is so far removed from everyday Americans that people feel the estrangement intuitively. Likewise we all intiuitively sense Sarah’s genuineness and descency. Sarah won the debate - and hopefully will also win the White House.

Folksy? Is that what we want our VP to be? When she travels overseas to meet with foreign leaders, do we want “Hey, can I call you Vladimir?” You go with Palin, you get McCain, and our sons will continue to bleed all over the sands of the Middle East. But, hey, it’s “kinda neat, ain’t it” ?”. My “shout-out [real professional] to all the other moms!”. SA

She’s real and down to earth. Better than Biden who kept flashing his blinding dentures. He was smiling so wide, I thought they’d fall out. Kinda creepy like one of those masks you buy at halloween.

I would much rather have a folksy individual such as Palin then an individual who cannot relate to the common people of these United States. We must not forget the massive majority of our past Presidents and Vice Presidents throughout this Great Nations History were also just common folk… heck a majority were just simple farm boys and outdoorsman who done did good and were just down home folksy! The alternative is to have a Pompous, Aloof, and Socialist regardless of the individual’s racial or religious background. As for going toe to toe with Foreign Leaders, I believe they would respect Palin more than Biden or Obama. If you, or have you, taken a real good look as Obama… a strong wind would blow him over and I see no spine. We already know Biden is spineless. He has changed his tune just over the last several months… as has Obama… do I really need to remind you! Also as for having spine…. Biden’s 5 student deferments say he has none! Obama… get real… like I said a strong wind will blow him over, he stands no chance in front of Putin, Ahmadinejad, Kim, they will eat him for lunch and spit out the spineless vertebrae.
