Body Language Expert: Palin Won the Debate Hands Down

Friday, October 3, 2008

Find out why in a Momlogic exclusive interview.

sarah palin

Body language expert Dr. Lillian Glass analyzed last night's VP debate ... and says Sarah Palin was the clear winner.

Here's why, according to Dr. Glass:

• When Palin first got to the stage, she blew a kiss, which is typically unprofessional and certainly unpresidential. But at the same time, it's endearing and refreshing. It's something we haven't seen before.

• She looked right into the camera, really connecting with her audience. Biden kept looking away, and referring to the host, which was disconnecting.

• Palin's folksy, and she knows it works ... so she's really playing it, milking it. It makes her likable to many people.

• The only time Palin faltered is when she was talking about Israel, a heavy issue. But she got right back on her feet.

• Palin's smile and winks are coquettish and charming. People respond to them because it's refreshing. We've seen the smug curmudgeonly faces for so long, it's a nice change.

Do you agree?

We don’t need folksy in the White House. We need lying, robbing, baby killing degenerates there. People who will steal everything they can lay their mitts on. We need democrats. Government by criminals for criminals. Vote democrat!

Biden was caught in 14 lies during the debate—that equates to a loss in my book.

Oh you guys,La Girl, Kathy, cpm, etc, etc…. and the list goes on. You can’t handle it can you?! You libs and your woman’s rights, making heroes out of the feminist left, and now there is a woman who is everything you have all been fighting for and you call her unintelligent, “hot,” but lacks substance” etc… You all are just going totally backwards to the 50s just because you can’t stand that this woman is a Republican candidate. Unbelievable! I find this so humorous how you all are falling all over yourselves to try to convince everyone that this woman isn’t fit to be a VP and giving up everything that you have fought for! Keep it up libs, it’s great entertainment. Even if your guy wins, we have 4 years of more entertainment as he has less experience than Palin and he’s running for President, not VP!

I saw a young man making his way up to the front door of Walmart today. He had lost both legs and an arm in the war. He was struggling with two artificial legs and an artificial arm and a cane. I thought to myself how grateful I was to him for sacrificing so much for our families and I began to cry. And then John McCain came to my mind and I thought what a sacrifice he too had made for our country while serving in the military. I thought which candidates would truly honor this young man who had lost so much to serve our country and there was no doubt in my mind that John McCain and Sarah Palin were the answer. At a recent visit in Lebanon, Ohio, a mother who had lost her son in the war was brought to the front of the stage to get a picture with the two candidates. Sarah Palin got down on her hands and knees and reached out to hug her and said to her, “your son did not die in vain.” Both candidates were very concerned about this woman and showed true compassion for her. Ultimately, the Presidency is about the people of America. Will our candidates understand what we need and have true compassion for us? Or are they self serving? Governor Palin has been all about doing good things for the people of Alaska. She has dropped taxes dramatically which is something that people should truly appreciate. It is OUR money not the governments and I am tired of feeling raped by the government every pay day. There is no doubt in my mind she will continue to work hard for the people when elected Vice President.

EGAD!NOT ONLY IS GOVERNOR PALIN POLITE AND CHARMING, SHE IS GROUNDED IN TRUTH, UNLIKE BIDEN WHO, WHEN IT SERVES HIS PURPOSES, FABRICATES HIS ANSWERS. FOR EXAMPLE, OLE JOE CLAIMS HE AND OBAMA ARE OPPOSED TO GAY MARRIAGE WHEN THEY ARE NOT, HE SAID THAT HE WAS FOR CLEAN COAL WHEN HE IS NOT, HE CLAIMED THAT OBAMA DID NOT SAY HE WOULD MEET WITH TERRORIST LEADERS WITH NO PRE-CONDITIONS WHEN OBAMA DID, HE SAID THAT MCCAIN AND OBAMA VOTED THE SAME ON TAX INCREASES WHEN THEY DID NOT, HE SAID THAT HE AND OBAMA SUPPORT ISRAEL WHEN THEY DO NOT, HE SAID THAT MCCAIN VOTED AGAIST MORE REGULATION WHEN THIS IS FALSE… THESE ARE FACTS THAT CAN BE DOCUMENTED. AND, THERE ARE MORE , SHALL I CALL THEM , DISTORTIONS THAT JOE THREW OUT IN THE “DEBATE” TO “WIN” THAT CAN BE SEEN ON VIDEO. BUT GWEN IFILL WHO STANDS TO MAKE A BUNDLE IF HER MAN OBAMA WINS NEVER UTTERED A PEEP OR CUT HIM OFF OR QUESTIONED HIS VERACITY. HOWEVER, I IMAGINE TO THE INDOCTRINATED FEELINGS TRUMP THE TRUTH OF WHAT I AM SAYING. GOD HELP THE USA.

Good job Kathy G! Women in the 50’s and 60’s wanted to burn their bras and do everthing men did. They wanted equal rights. They wanted to do the same jobs men had been doing. They wanted equal pay. They wanted to be respected! They wanted to have a family and work. They were sick of being housewives. Well, Sarah Palin has done just that. She has proven to those feminists that she can do any darn thing see wants to. She has set a great example for other women. Though you may not agree with her personal choices as far as abortion goes, does that really erase all her accomplishments in your mind? She is a Christian woman and has a strong conviction about when conception begins. So do alot of women, but we don’t chastize them, do we? Why is it really that people are so hateful towards her? Are they among the women who have had abortions? Does it offend women who have had abortions that she does not believe the same way? Is this not a free country? Can we not believe differently but still have respect for others and their beliefs? Ultimately I believe we should work very hard to overcome diversity so that this Country of ours can be an example for others. The continuous battle between two parties makes us look ignorant and incapable of peace. How can we teach others what peace is if there is anger and hatred here between our own people?

Anyone who watched the debate on TV who didn’t think Palin won was already way in the tank for Obama. What is interesting is the TV effect itself. I listened to this debated on my drive home from work on the radio and I to thought that Biden pretty much had command of the issues, but Palin was holding her own. I then watched this same point latter on TV and Palin’s charisma and ability to connect with “a typical white person” really shines through!!

Condoleeza Rice has more experience and class in her fingertip than Palin has in her whole being. Startin, pullin, sittin, betcha dontcha, darn right. Do you really want Ellie May Clampett possibly in the White House?

I love, love, love Sarah! She glows with the joy of the Lord. Compare her with Biden who looked like a corpse and kept flicking his nose and he even cried, imagine if Sarah had cried on that stage, they’d rip her to shreds. Come on folks, SARAH WON HANDS DOWN! Admit it!

Is that all you can come up with on Palin, Susan? How she talks? How about issues? Tell me how Obama measures up to the issues. How about background? What is Obama’s background? We don’t know because he hasn’t told the truth. How about the company Obama keeps. From Reverend Wright to terrorist ties. You can always tell a person from the company he keeps. I could go on, but you seem to want to be focused on how someone talks. Good grief! Could we stick to facts instead of nonsense?

She reminds me of the Angel of Light.Beautiful and Charming. Then he was cast out of Heaven. There’s a possibility that he’s using her.Let’s be honest, Biden won the debate.Palin won the people by her charisma.I want a VP who has substance and not charm.

Oh no Kathy. It all started when she paraded and spotlighted her pregnant teenage daughter in front of the nation. Dont you think its already hard enough to be 17 and pregnant? She should have never accepted the job offer at this time in her childrens life. I am pro family and would have protected my kids and been there for THEM first. That is not nonsense. Nonsense is picking a woman who we now know does not have the breadth of knowledge one would need to run a country.

So Susan, you say that you are pro family yet Obama is the most liberal senator against the family. He was the only senator to vote to NOT give medical help to a baby born after an abortion attempt. These babies are to be left in a room to DIE. Pro family? Obama also believes in pro choice because he doesn’t believe a teenager should be “punished” with a baby. Could you tell me how Palin doesn’t have the “breadth of knowledge” one would need to run a country? Could we compare that then to the experience Obama has had who is running for the actual presidency? Again Susan, lets talk facts. Obama was a community organizer with less that 200 days experience in the Senate. I’m not exactly sure if I would be capable of being a VP and a mom, but she has shown she can do it while being a governor. But, how is that in comparison to a fundamental viewpoint of life and death, Susan? At least Sarah didn’t encourage her daughter to kill the baby. She didn’t choose to kill her downs syndrome son just because it may be a hassle. Again, let’s go on facts about both of the candidates before you start to condemn one on how good of a mom she is.

Don’t get me wrong. I don’t dislike Palin. That said, I don’t like her either. In fact, I nothing her. But I do find her “folksiness” really annoying, insincere, and occasionally patronizing. Her greatest hits: “Joe six-pack…” yuck “New-cu-lar” holy crap, its nuclear. This made me want to put a steak knife through my eye. “you betcha” “doggone it” and just generally dropping the -g off of -ing words. I hate this “quality”

Kathy- The oldest children of Palin already slipped through the cracks while she was governing. Now a special needs child who need extra extra care. She already makes over $120,000 a year. I personally cannot relate to a woman who would turn her back on her family for an even more demanding job. That is just selfish and greedy. She wasnt chosen because she is the best qualified. It was just for the shock and awe and that is not what is best for our country. It is obvious now in the few interviews and short time we have been given to know her, she barely has any national experience!!! She has a journalism degree, so of course she can talk to a camera, but come on. Possible president of the United States?? I really dont understand the obsession with her.

Biden lied about Lebanan, Iraq, Afghanistan, Iran, taxes and health care to make people vote for Obama. Sarah told the truth and will shake up the good ole boys in Washington. Thanks, Sarah, we are voting for ya all the way.

T Her pronunciation of the word new-cu-lar is not all that unusual and is an accepted pronunciation of the word, which most people do pronounce nuclear (newclee-er). I suggest doing a google search for an article by Steven Pinker, who is a well-known and well-respected authority on matters regarding language and pronunciation. He spoke specifically to her pronunciation of new-cu-lar in his article, as acceptable, and shed some light on the dropping of the g’s, which really isn’t a “g” at all, but an ‘ng’ which is just a shift of the tongue farther back on the palate. We ALL have times when we don’t articulate the ‘ng’…hers just happens to be a part of her style when she is relating directly to the people (as opposed to Joe Biden who, rather than looking directly in the camera to talk to ME, appeared to be talking mostly to Gwen and other random people in the audience). Analysis of the level of language used by the two of them actually rated Sarah Palin at a higher grade-equivalency level than Joe Biden. From my perspective, if Sarah Palin was able to effectively hold her own against Joe Biden, a senator with over 30 years experience, then I would say, she not only met expectations but she far surpassed expectations. Anyone who can hold their own with an experienced senator and debator, is pretty amazing in my book. Sure, there were times when she did not answer the question directly, but guess what, the same can be said of Biden, too! Oh, but that’s right, the media isn’t talking about Biden…they’re just focusing on Sarah Palin…
