Body Language Expert: Palin Won the Debate Hands Down

Friday, October 3, 2008

Find out why in a Momlogic exclusive interview.

sarah palin

Body language expert Dr. Lillian Glass analyzed last night's VP debate ... and says Sarah Palin was the clear winner.

Here's why, according to Dr. Glass:

• When Palin first got to the stage, she blew a kiss, which is typically unprofessional and certainly unpresidential. But at the same time, it's endearing and refreshing. It's something we haven't seen before.

• She looked right into the camera, really connecting with her audience. Biden kept looking away, and referring to the host, which was disconnecting.

• Palin's folksy, and she knows it works ... so she's really playing it, milking it. It makes her likable to many people.

• The only time Palin faltered is when she was talking about Israel, a heavy issue. But she got right back on her feet.

• Palin's smile and winks are coquettish and charming. People respond to them because it's refreshing. We've seen the smug curmudgeonly faces for so long, it's a nice change.

Do you agree?

Slipped through the cracks? Sure, the daughter didn’t make the right decisions to become pregnant at the time, but she’s taking responsibility for it and doing the right thing. How does that have anything to do with how her mother is going to do her job? How do you know that Palin has turned her back on her children? How do you know how good of a mother she is? You are just making assumptions based on feelings again, Susan. Let’s stick to the facts of what we do know about each candidate. The fact that you “feel” so strongly that this “Ellie Mae” is a bad mother is hardly in comparison to the real facts of Obama, of which you haven’t answered my questions to. I usually find that in those who don’t really have a good argument. You hit them with facts and all they can answer with are personal insults and assumptions.

Well sister, by your previous posts you appear to be one of those people who bases there vote on the pro life issue. That amazes me by now that still goes on. Now what has George Bush or this Republican administration done for you on that issue? I am anti abortion myself, but I look at the whole package. Speaking of killing children like you want to stupidly link Obama to, how about the almost 4,200 soldiers killed in Iraq. Those are human lives as well, but I bet you dont think of it that way. Why not? Think about the fathers and mothers and sisters and brothers killed. The war was unnecessary and our soldiers were put in harms way over “weapons of mass destruction”. You want to deal in facts? The fact is each one of those lives was important and they were sent under false pretenses. That is horrifying.

P.S.—-Which makes me tired of stupid people in office for the wrong reasons.

There you go with assumptions of someone again. Pro life is one of the big issues for me, but so is the safety of the country and the economy. I don’t consider myself Republican, but I am conservative. If I thought a Democrat were saying the things I thought were important, I would vote for him/her. I don’t vote left or right, I vote right or wrong. Would you like the link to the info. on Obama and his voting record on abortion? I can get it just to show you that I’m not “stupidly” (there you go with insults again) linking Obama to it. Also for an FYI, Bush isn’t running this time. It’s time to give up on going after him and his administration who couldn’t do anything in congress anyway because they were constantly being voted down. I could also give you the list on who voted for the Iraq war. All of congress voted, Susan, not just Republicans. Not only did the USA think they had to go in but so did 35 other countries. Yes, the facts, but you don’t want to hear that do you? This is obvious because you still haven’t answered any of my questions. So you can insult me by calling me stupid all your little heart desires. It just proves my point that I made earlier. Thanks for the help! ;-)

We’ve just seen the worst 8 years imaginable in terms of our standing in the world, in terms of the strength of our economy, and in terms of the rise of extremism (right wing, or otherwise). Palin is simply another “product” of the Republican party - whatever they tell her to do she will do. Do you want 4 more years of what we’ve just had?

Bush was commander in chief. Rush to judgment. He lied. His administration lied. Bush led our allies into a non necessary war, and if you kept up on the real news, made the US quite unpopular worldwide. Remember the torture? This also put OUR soldiers in grave danger. McCain embraces Bush and his policies. Samo samo. Same Republicans same McCain. What about all the stories of the wounded not getting enough medical care? How can you just chalk all that up to… Bush isnt running this time? How can you just throw all the facts away like that? And you don’t fool me, its Robotpuplican all the way with you. You tout the same rheortic that I have heard before. If you want you can put your link on here. Then I can put the link on Track Palin and his drug use since you think Palin has done such a fantastic job as a mother. Anyone can have a child, its the raising of them that is the challenge. Drug and alcohol use, teenage pregnancy… the first two teenagers. She still has 3 more!!! Bottom line, she should have been keeping much better track of her children period. She was too busy governing and failed them. And you actually think she is capable of possibly running a country?? Un-bear-ringly unbelievable.

In all honesty, I only heard her give one straight answer to questions that were asked. Otherwise it was Obama this, Maverike that. I have a question, who really thinks Ole’ Johnny boy has another 4 years left in him anyway? But on another note, it’s nice to see Americans young and old expressing their right of freedom of speech on this comment section. By the way, the other 20% that disapprove of her in her state are probably Native American’s who she consistantly votes against on every issue from health care, housing and education. And John is the same way. Go figure they’re all American to all but the original Americans.

This isn’t getting anywhere. We come from two different viewpoints. I refuse to get into your emotion-driven diatribes and I’m sure most here are a little tired of it as well. I’m sure you are a very intelligent woman, Susan, who just wants the best for your country. It just doesn’t get anywhere when you feel you need to make assumptions and insult when that isn’t going to get us any closer to bettering this country. FYI the “the real news” will not be found on the mainstream media. They won’t tell you anything that doesn’t make their poster boy look good. Good luck in the future Susan.

IT truly amazes me that a few women have said they are afraid of Governor Palin becoming Vice President. That’s laughable considering Barack Hussein Obama has been found to be associated with radical militants. Do people think everybody should just ignore his affiliations in his WHOLE LIFE? Do you assume he had some “Born Again” experience and has changed his radical liberal ways? OF COURSE NOT! He is a true threat to America. He has socialist ideas and I agree with Governor Palin, HE DOES NOT SEE AMERICA THE WAY WE DO. He wants Government CONTROL of America. He will not work for us but for his own interests. Now that’s scary!

Note to Becca… Palins Alaskan approval rate is down to 68%. Kathy. My emotion-driven diatribes? Impressive. I have to say I do get emotional. I have a 20 year old son. Thankfully he is in college and working. My heart breaks that so many other families lost their sons, let alone children losing their parents in the stupid war. Doesn’t that affect you?? Iraq hopefully will get back on their feet. But their country has been devastated. So many of their children killed. Iran has gotten stronger. Our allies won’t be so quick to jump in to help us since they were led to war by false pretenses. These are valid “assumptions”. And I’m dealing with the REAL world now. When John McCain became the nominee, I told my husband, I want to know if he admits the mistake of initially going to war. Later I heard him say he didn’t think it was a mistake, so he was out in my book. Then everything got so messed up with the economy I thought, let’s get McCain in the White House so the Republicans would HAVE to attempt to fix this horrible mess. Then he picks Palin for the number two spot??? All for show baby. It wasnt for the good of our country!! If he happens to pass while in office, we are left with her???? Our country cannot afford that chance at this time.

Susan, Of course I hate war, even our soldiers hate war, but we are there. Have there been mistakes, yep. Huge ones, there always are, but instead of continuing to complain about it, why don’t we try to win it so it doesn’t come onto our shores? You said, “our allies won’t be so quick to jump in to help us since they were led to war by false pretenses.” You seem to be eluding to the fact that we led them to war? We didn’t attack first, Susan, they did. What about all the people who died in 9/11? They were innocent in this whole thing too. Do they count? I could ask you the same question you asked me, didn’t THAT effect you? You said the Palin pick was all for “show.” What’s Obama popularity? It certainly isn’t for his experience or his policies. He doesn’t have any. He is there because, admit it, he would be the first black president and he’s a great speaker. I would love a black president, just one that is qualified. Yep, the economy is in the tank. It’s a democrat and republican mess. You can’t put that all on the Bush Administration seeing that it started in 1936, carried on through to 1992 (hmmm, who was in the White House then?), made even worse thanks to Barney Frank and his ilk. Whoever gets into this administration is going to have a mess on his hands. I say we get rid of all of them and start clean. They all have dirt on their hands. That’s why I like Palin, she fought against the “dirt” in Alaska. She went after even the Republicans and cleaned up the government there. That’s why she has the 68% approval rating you mentioned. Much better than our congress that is in single digits. With that being said, we need to do what’s best for this country. You have your opinions, I have mine. We are both moms. My son is 16. Does the war effect me? Of course, but our ideas on what is best for this country are so polarized that we need someone who is willing to take on both parties and make it right. Not one who will be, as you say, “samo samo.” And we certainly don’t need someone in there that just says that he will talk to the leaders of

Kathy!!!!!! Iraq or Saddam had nothing to do with 9/11!! It was never about 9/11. That is a fact! The Afghanistan War was about 9/11. The Iraq war was about Weapons of Mass Destruction that ended up not being there. Remember?? When this war ends there is no “winning” when we lost so many lives in the process. Obama has been touring the country with his plan for almost 2 years. His plan on many issues has been available on his website for anyone to look at all this time. There was a vote and he won that vote. Palin and her views are still a mystery. AND she is under investigation for ethics misconduct!! Her approval rate has and is declining in Alaska. Good thing you are moving on Kathy, because your last post was stretching it every which way but the truth!

Kathy G don’t waste your time with Susan. She obviously listens to the left wing media. She hears all the lies and thinks they are true. As a matter of fact, she is trying to spread more here on MomLogic. Way to work for your party Susan. You are their little puppet. Well, here is how I see it: Susan you vote for your shady radical, Muslim leader and Kathy G you vote for your military veteran and, very experienced, Christian leader. We will either have another holocaust or We will put God back in America. You choose!

Lori… You will put God back in America? God never left America!! How can you say that!!! And you sound very un-Christian pointing fingers and lying about Obama being a Muslim as well. He is a Christian and if you are sooo Christian, why would you continue a lie?

Palin was horrible. I would not want her as vice president. She seems very immature, the winking was very unprofessional, she did not answer the questions and did not maintain eye contact with Biden or the moderator. She seemed too rehearsed and came accross like she was a robot. Her voice quivered and she evaded most questions asked. Whatever she is selling, I am not buying. She cannot be in charge of this country, she needs to stay in Alaska because thats all she spoke about. Sorry folks, Obama will be the next president, just get over it. It is time for a change.

I think Sarah Palin is beautiful and I love her glasses but it will take a lot more than being beautiful and folksy to be a vp of the US. My problem is Mcain is old he even looks it and if God forbid something happened to him. We would be stuck with depending on Palin to run this country that makes me very nervous. She is no Hillary Clinton.
