Police say Casey Anthony enjoyed horror flicks as her daughter Caylee died.
Police say toddler Caylee Anthony most likely died on June 16 - the day her mother Casey Anthony, accused of her death, rented murder movies.
Police retraced Casey Anthony's steps on that day and spoke to the man who saw Casey just hours after the toddler's death.
"No emotion, no tears and no regrets," is how Casey was described by Blockbuster clerk Johnny French when she rented a movie about a kidnapper and killer.
New surveillance photos show Casey Anthony and her boyfriend walking into an east Orange County Blockbuster just before 8 PM on Monday June 16, hours after Caylee was last seen alive by Casey's father at home.
The photos show Casey arm in arm with her boyfriend, after they chose two movies to rent. One movie was "Untraceable," about a kidnapper and killer. The other was "Jumper," which features a character who is a mother who abandons her five-year-old child.
"They came in, went out," says French, who rented the movies to Casey and her boyfriend. "Brought the movies back on time just like everybody else."
"They seemed normal and she seemed fine. If there was something wrong, it would have stood out. I just don't remember them doing anything unusual," says French.
•Casey's phone records show she made seven phone calls in the three and half hours between 2:45 PM and 6:15 PM that afternoon, the time during which investigators think Caylee may have died. Two were made to friends at Arden Villas Apartments. And Casey's ex-best friend, Amy Huizenga, told investigators that Casey called her that day to say she needed to find a place to live.
•Caylee's grandfather told investigators the last time he saw Caylee was at 12:50 PM on June 16. He remembered her sunglasses and her ponytail as she left with Casey, who claimed they were spending that night at the nanny's.
"That's the last time I saw my granddaughter," George Anthony said.
Police say Casey stayed on the east side of town, as usual, during the six hours or so between when Caylee was last seen alive and then showed up her with her boyfriend, but her exact whereabouts are unclear.

Casey Anthony makes me so sick! Kill your daughter, your own child that you brought into this world so you can go out and have your own personal pleasure and fun! She needs to be up under the jail! I am SO sick of hearing about her!
Interesting. If Granpa saw them around 12:50, what was going on between then and when the cell calls began at 2 something. Where was Caylee at 8 pm when they went in to the video store?
I think she had help doing this and Tony may be the one that helped her. Too fishy! Anyone that would refer to the daughter of a girlfriend as “the offspring” rather than calling her by name, shows he does not consider the child as a person but object. He is a sicko too!
Casey thinks she is so clever and tries to insult people’s intelligence…does she really think she is going to get away w/this?? get a grip and step into the real world. she does not deserve all the media attention she is getting. she is a sorry soul!!

I couldn’t agree with you more. In the beginning I thought that something was “fishy” about Tony, now I know it!
If she told her dad that they were staying at the nanny’s, and it’s obvious that there is no nanny, why in the world is her family still defending her? I understand that they love their daughter/sister, but they are making themselves look suspect for defending her.
About Tony, and the night they rented the videos…I haven’t seen or read much more than the basic facts…I wonder how their behavior/body language was in blockbuster..(other than touchy feely) normally, If I have a movie in mind, I go straight to it…if not, I look around for a while…and was Tony questioned about this particular night in detail?? and why Casey would have picked these two movies?? or whose idea these 2 movies were…did they pick them out together? did casey pick them out & he just agreed? I haven’t seen either but doesn’t seem like movies you pick out & choose to watch with a new boyfriend…I just think Tony knows more than he has divulged. I hope they drill him for info on this night, I think a small detail could be critical to finding out the truth.
I think it’s interesting that jail staff has had to tell her lawyer Jose Baez to stop “touching” and hugging Casey during his jail visits. If he can’t keep his hands off during jail house visits, what was going on in the privacy of his office when Casey would be there for 6 hours a day, 6 days a week?
Oh yeah, John, many have wondered that. Killer is very sexual and she loves using her body. No doubt, she turned him on in a lot of ways. He’s kind of a greasy sort. I would imagine that while killer was in his office she had other visitors that no one knew about. And made many phone calls that the police cannot trace due to privacy. They are all of bunch of sickos.
Well Melissa makes a great point… The parents should come out and say they believe Casey did it, or else they will continue to seem suspect to all of us watching this case. And of course the most important thing in life is for the parents to gain the acceptance and approval of TV viewers and people who comment on blogs…
I know I would turn on my family in a heartbeat if it only meant I could gain Melissa’s acceptance and approval.

Wow, stop watching Nancy Grace and let the judicial system do its job. What a stupid headline this article has. Its still innocent until proven guilty. Maybe she is guilty, but these situations really screw up future cases that involve the innocent being accused. I don’t think a news source of any should say something like “Cops: Casey Rented Murder Flicks As Caylee Died” which is not known fact or that She “enjoyed the horror flicks” because I really think that’s false…because “Untraceable” and “Jumper” sucked…Jason Kidd hit his wife….but there’s nothing funny about that….
In the first place Tony Lazarro is the boyfriend she watched the movie videos with the night the police believe Caylee was either dying or decomposing in Casey’s car trunk. The Tony who called her “the offspring” in the instant messages was Tony Rusciano, the police officer who was fired after he lied about his relationship with Casey Anthony. She had a strictly sexual relationship with Tony Rusciano in 2006.
I don’t believe Casey had any help in killing Caylee or disposing of the body. I believe Casey is a sociopath who doesn’t love or trust anyone. She would never tell anyone or ask for any help because she didn’t want a witness who could testify against her. And if anyone helped her dispose of the body he or she would have told the police by now.
Casey committed this crime by herself and told no one. She told her family and friends Caylee was at the beach or Disneyworld after she killed her. I believe Casey chloroformed Caylee and she may have been alive when she put her in the trunk and she died in that trunk.
I don’t post, but have followed this tradegy and read everything. Bless this poor child, and justice be swift for Casey. I notice miss-posts all the time, to Linda~it was NOT Tony who called Caylee the disgusting name of “offspiring”, he is an innocent party in this and is cooperating with police. It was the fired deputy Anthony Rusciano who made this comment when he was trying to get Casey back over into his bed. Casey was with Ricardo Morales, Tony Larzaro, Anthony Rusciano,and some guy in the service. Casey will get convicted, hopefully her stupid, lying Mother Cindy will get some help, she makes me sick! Regarding the movie rentals… this is a strategy; I think they watched these movies in case they take a Polygraph Test this would create “Deception” … we are dealing with pure evil here!

Rosie, I think you give Casey too much credit - she doesn’t have the mental capacity for that kind of strategic thinking. Her lies to the detectives are so childish and simplistic, her whole story unravels in a single day! She’s not smart enough to pull it off for a minute. She’s more like an immature teenager who also happens to be a sociopath than some evil arch-criminal.

This woman is a monster. I hope the jury doesn’t do the wrong thing and spare her life, she didn’t spare that baby’s life. she needs to get the death penalty.
