The famous funny lady gets serious in a Public Service Announcement against California's anti-gay marriage Proposition 8.
Ellen DeGeneres married actress Portia de Rossi on August 16, two months after the California Supreme Court legalized gay marriage. Since then, DeGeneres has been under fire in the gay community for not giving money to the campaign to defeat Proposition 8 or lending her star power to the cause.
DeGeneres still hasn't made a campaign contribution, but she did post a video on her show's website, saying her wedding was the happiest occasion in her life, and urging people to vote no on California's Prop. 8.
