Goin' Green Ain't Cheap

Thursday, October 23, 2008

Eco-friendly isn't friendly to our wallets. Check out our side-by-side product comparison.

The economic news seems to get worse everyday: Foreclosures, downsizing and dwindling retirement funds. Sadly, the last thing on a parent's mind is "going green."

But not celebrities! While we're busy clipping coupons, they're busy saving the planet. The latest issue of "People" features a peek into Jessica Alba's eco-friendly nursery and home. And earlier this year, Halle Berry reportedly spent $60,000 on greenifying her new baby's three (three!) nurseries.

For you new moms out there who are considering eco-fying your new bundle's dwelling, we give you the cost of going organic, the cheap version and the ultimate (and utterly silly) way to go green.

I totally agree how can anyone afford this stuff. Are we supposed to feel guilty or go into debt if we don’t buy everything eco this and that?

I’m sorry but there is cheaper eco-friendly stuff out there. All you have to do is look. I am about to become a mom for the first time, my husband and myself don’t have a lot of money but we have been able to get some really nice eco-friendly stuff at reasonable prices. There will always be a range in price for everything. Just look for the items that fit your budget. Thats what we are doing.

There are many cheaper eco-friendly items out there. Walmart is my favorite place to find them. It is funny to see what many celebrities are spending on things. It is outrageous. I guess they are trying to recycle as much of their “green”(money) as possible.HAHA

Its not cheap becasue its a scam set out by politicians that figgured out we wwere willing to pay more money for items that were eco friendly! There are plenty of scientist who do not support the scam of global warming! It possibly the biggest scam in history! I’m not saying to not recycle or buy things that are healthy! I’m just saying to do your research wisely before falling in line with the other gerbils! In fact many people haven’t even done their research into global warming and only believe it because they heard it on TV or the Net! Do this for me type in global warming scam and see what you get! There is as much information on it being a lie as to it being fact! That being because companies pay for the studies and can have them altered to their point of view! Statistics 101! Sure recycle and help the environment but lets not get overwhelmed with thinking the earth is dieing! One fact little people know of is that a volcano eruptions puts out more carbon then we could produce in 50 years! Get the facts before you make a decision to buy things that are supposedly for the environment! Do your research as I have and you’ll find your self very mad at some big politicians that have tried to take advantage of us! You also find that there is more support for all these supposed signs be natural events that have repeatedly happened through out earth history! Geology is where they know that this warming effect has happened before and many times! Not to mention its dam cold where I’m form and we had the coldest winter on record last year! Global warming my @ss! More like global money making scam!
