Kindergarten Killer -- the Video Game
This violent video game, which promotes killing toddlers, was recently removed from a popular gaming website.
A children's video game called "Kindergarten Killer" was recently removed from a popular Finnish gaming website for its excessive violence.
Yes -- "Kindergarten Killer" allows players to roam a school and kill teachers and little children with a shotgun. If you hit a kid, blood spurts everywhere.
The Finnish children's gaming site removed the controversial game a week after the country's most deadly school shooting.
Last week a 22-year-old student Matti Saari killed ten kids at a vocational school in Kauhajoki, Finland. It was the country's second school shooting in less than a year.
Saari prefaced his rampage with boastful video clips on YouTube.
It wasn't the first school shooting for Finland -- student Pekka-Eric Auvinen also boasted on YouTube before shooting to death six fellow students, the school nurse and the principal at Jokela high school last November.
Both Saari and Auvinen committed suicide following their rampages.
But these aren't isolated incidents:
One classic study conducted by the American Psychological Association shows playing violent video games can increase kid's aggression level and potential for violence in real life. Another study published in the "Journal of Personality and Social Psychology" showed playing such games increased kids' competitiveness to an unhealthy degree.
Tell us -- would you let your kid play violent video games?
