Meet Joe the Plumber

Joe Wurzelbacher -- aka Joe the Plumber -- from Toledo, Ohio, is the undeniable star of last night's presidential debate.
Joe, a single dad, is a plumber who has worked 12-hour shifts for years and now plans to buy his own small plumbing business. He met Barack Obama on the campaign trail a few days ago to discuss his concerns about the candidate's proposed tax plan. The trouble for Joe the Plumber, says McCain, is that this would take his earnings to more than $250,000 -- making him a target of Obama's plan to tax the wealthy.
Obama told Joe the Plumber: "My plan is to spread the wealth around. It's not that I want to punish your success. I just want to make sure that everybody that is behind you, that they have a chance for success, too."

Momlogic You missed the interview where Joe the Plumber said Barack Obama’s plan was a socialist plan and that it scared him. I AGREE!! The last time we had that type of economic plan was during the GREAT DEPRESSION. Is this what we want? HMMMM….I think Joe the Plumber has got a point.

Joe finally got a truthful answer from Barack Obama when he asked if Obama’s tax plan would affect him. He believes that we should “spread the wealth around”. What he really said was, “yes Joe, if you open up a small business I will tax you and give the money to people “less fortunate” than you. “Less fortunate” of course, refers to those embedded in the welfare system. Some people may not recognize this as socialism, but I bet the Soviet Union could explain it in a way that they could better understand. You have revealed yourself Obama…thank you, we appreciate you finally being honest. Under your tax plan we will all be “the same” no matter how hard we work and try to improve our finances we will not be allowed to prosper. We will have to spread our wealth around to welfare recipients. Boy, that’s alot of incentive to open up a business. Obama said most small businesses make less than $250,000. That was the biggest lie of the debate and it came straight from the horses mouth, Senator Obama.

Nearly 80% of new jobs created were created by small businesses. The rest were created by larger companies. Obama plans to have people & companies who create the most jobs pay more taxes than they already do … That means that many, if not most, of the jobs provided by those companies will go away. What good is an increased “tax break” to the poor if they don’t have a job to go to? Besides that, I’ll donate to the poor when I see a worthy cause and when I feel I can afford to donate. Don’t take my money and spend it for me! Also don’t forget, under Obama’s plan people making over $40k annually will actually make less money when they work overtime and get raises because the “tax credits” under his plan go away when you make over $40k. That means that the “tax credit” you received at $39k you won’t get once you make more than $40k PLUS you will be paying a higher tax rate. That is a HUGE tax increase for a minimal pay raise. That is if you can manage to keep your job.

AK Mom Thanks for expanding on the Obama plan. We appreciate the extra information so we can pass it along to those who don’t understand Obama’s tax plan. Once people know the truth they will realize how wrong his plan is for the economy. He will basically run small businesses into the ground. They won’t be able to afford to pay their employees because of high taxes which will lead to MORE UNEMPLOYMENT. But, he’s not worried because the higher taxes on those making $250,000 or more will pay the welfare and unemployment. In the end it will all work out, right? Right Obama? All I can here is GREAT DEPRESSION plan running through my head. I encourage people to study the great depression in history books. It will be an eye opener!

Barack Obama sounds like a Hooverite! “Oh no! Not again!” It is no wonder older people who survived the worst recession ever are pulling their money out of banks. They hear of Barack Obama’s tax plan and it’s scares them to death. “Not another President Hoover tax plan!” “Throw your money inside your mattresses and lock your doors!” “The tax man is coming to steal from us!” “He will destroy our economy forever!” UNBELIEVABLE BARACK!!! Haven’t you learned anything from the past? Maybe you were just too young. We all know you were just eight years old when Bill Ayers was bombing the Pentagon and spreading radical hatred for our government. But, apparently when you got older and was on a committee with him nobody told you that. Yeah RIGHT!!! Come on buddy, just tell the truth, for God sakes! Why did you launch your political career from his home? Please, just humor us with an answer, for once.

Ignorance is bliss. If any of you had an ounce of intelligence, you would see alllll the reports saying Obamas tax plan would be so much better for Joe!! Now go put your head back in the sand.

Ca-mom All the reports from the lying media. Is that what you are referring to? Sorry, but most people’s trust is lost as far as the media goes. They have their own “special” interest: Barack Obama. Apparently, you need a lesson in the similarities between President Hoover (during the GREAT DEPRESSION) and Barack Obama’s tax plans. THEY ARE VIRTUALLY THE SAME. Raise taxes for those making $250,00 or more which includes most businesses and it WILL trickle down into lay offs, unemployment, and lots of welfare checks. If they have to pay more taxes, they will hire less people. Does that make sense to you Ca-mom? Or do you just choose to ignore the facts? Ignorance WILL be the demise of America, Ca-mom. Unless, of course, people who are educated stand up to Barack Obama! The liberals are trying to shut Joe up because HE IS RIGHT. Barack Obama wants to run a socialist government. CONTROL of the people! I personally want to be FREE from government but perhaps others like getting welfare checks every month. Maybe it makes them feel more comfortable having Uncle Sam write their checks rather than an employer. Where’s the advancement in that? Hmmm….. makes you wonder, doesn’t it?
