Michelle Obama Shops at J. Crew

Tuesday, October 28, 2008

When it comes to clothes, Michelle prefers J.Crew over Versace.

There's no spending $150,000 on Dior, Gucci, Versace for the Obamas -- when it comes to clothes, Michelle and Barack have a "policy" of spending their own money on clothes (cute, a policy. Get it?) Looks like Michelle's making some pretty smart choices. We found her outfit online -- what do you think?

I didn’t realize they came in her size.

What is that supposed to mean?

It’s still way more than what I spend on clothing and ML, you should be able to see that this was a political-move on her part…so don’t be fooled. Barack’s suits cost $1500 dollars or more. They know what to say, and when to say it. Do you think you’ll never see Michelle Obama wearing pricey duds? Think again… Oh, and about that $1100 dollar lobster lunch, Mrs. O?

Puh-lease… To “Chris”, you’re probably fat, thats why you are making snide comments about Michelle’s weight. Mary, you’re absolutely right Michelle Obama is not going to be caught in designer duds. She is so smart unlike the dumb republican party and their leader Mrs. Palin. And if Barack’s suit are 1500, how much are McCains, 15000? Yes sweetheart, you dumb republicans are pisted cause the election is OVER, done. We’ve won…. BTW, the $1100 lunch did not exist. I’m sure the McCain campaign fished that story too!!!

Well, Mary, you’re probably not an attorney married to a senator either… so, I agree that you WOULDN’T spend that kind of money on clothes… duh! And by “her size” did you mean her height, Chris? What an insensitive remark… talk about sexist!

Who cares. She dresses ugly and has a HUGE butt!
- Sharon

First of all what does her butt have to do with anything? And if you would pay more attention on whats important you just might learn something. You sound like your jealous of Mrs. Michelle Obama or other wise her looks or clothes wouldnt be your main focus. Get a life thats revolves around you not the next first lady…

That was not an attractive outfit on her. The sweater hung like a granny top. Yes the pieces are all J CREW, but were they seriously meant to all go together? Was not a polished look. And Sammie - you give Democrats a bad name - trash talk doesn’t help your party look reputable.

who cares about what she wears or how much money she spends. the election has nothing to do with her. it has to do with barrak obama (or barry sorentino- whatever his real name is). whe’re getting away from the main picture here. barrak is not a natural born citizan, for if he was he would produce a true legal birth certificate and not one thats obviously fake. second go online to the us senate and check what obama voted for and against. he is a total hipocrate saying hes for one thing or against another but yet in the senate he votes the opposite of what he says. then the thing that really scares me is him garanteeing that there will be a major world conflict within 6 months of him taking office. how the hell can you garantee this without haveing something planned? in my view, every vote for obama is one vote closer to the end of the unite states. and you can say all you want about me. i am neither a democrat or republican but a registered independant. but come next week i will most deffinately not be voting for obama.

Ok why wouldn’t they have it in her, size she’s not big.. And think logically of course they the cloths they wear are not going to be the price everyday people pay for but that does not mean theres anything wrong with it. You don’t see her making all the statements about her clothes like Sarah Pallen is.

Wow, I love all the trash-talking… …especially from a bunch of people who claim to know everything…yet can’t spell! There are so many grammar issues in the comments here that they are hard to read, let alone be taken seriously. Ridiculous.

I find it amazing that anyone can criticize what a woman with a law degree, who left a $200 K a year job private sector wears. She can wear wha ever her budget and fashion sense says that she should and that is whether she is a size 2 or 10. You can be unheathly at any size, so does it matter that she does not conform to someone’s public opinion of model thin beauty. 1100 dollar lobster lunch, her money (Harvard experience=more money than high school and community college. Moving on if you want to be taken seriously check your facts Bill and use spell check. I am a card carrying Republican and I am ashamed to say that my party as a whole has done this country a disservice. I will be voting for Obama, due to well researched facts. I will not bow to racism, innuendo, or any twisted information leaked by narrow minded people that cannot be verified.

why? whats wrong with wearing expensive clothes if you can afford it? but then again they’re not that expensive…

I don’t see why a harvard educated lawyer cannot wear a $200 skirt if she wants one, whether or not she’s going to be the next first lady or a $1,500 suit in the case of Barack, they can afford it. This is not what this election is all about.

I normally don’t judge against people but BIll I think you need to return to English/Spelling 101 before you go displaying comments online. During this time they will bring out everything about the elections down to their clothing where they shop and everything else. I think she is well dress and she dress like a real DIVA not a cocky person she has flavor.

for whoever it was earlier that said that none of the pieces went together, you are wrong. i work at jcrew part time and i thought she looked fabulous. jcrew is known for is quirky style and michelle obama nailed it. everything about her outfit was stylish, classy and she looked the part of a future first lady. and honestly, who cares how much the candidates and their wives are spending on their clothes. they are constantly in the public eye and they must look the part of sophisticated public leaders.

This is in reference to Bill and agreeing with Unknown, before you even start to go off on anyone, learn how to spell and type in the english language. You can even figure out which party you are for and you sure can’t figure out how to spell a word. Michelle is the bomb and you haters better recognize that.

I agree with the spelling comments. It’s difficult to take someone seriously if he or she cannot write full sentences and spell correctly - especially the names of the candidates. Their names are plastered everywhere - bumper stickers, billboards, window signs, newspapers, commercials - and you still can’t spell it? How can you claim to have “read up” on the facts when you don’t retain anything you see?

First of all, I want to state that before anyone criticizes anything and anyone, some of those need to look at how they spell. VERY INTELLIGENT! Second of all, I think Michelle is very classy and is INTELLIGENT! Having a big butt that fits the body and it is yours naturally, is a good thing. If the Michelle wants to spend lots of money on her clothes coming from her own lawyer making money, so be it! It’s hers! Obama all for him and her!

HEY SHARON: YOU MUST BE AWFULLY SKINNY. I HAPPEN TO LIKE A BIG BUTT LADY. HOWEVER, I AM NOT VOTING FOR SUCH A LADY; I’M VOTING FOR A PRESIDENT.
