He Sees Dead People: A dad on Babble is concerned about his six-year-old's preoccupation with all things macabre. No biggie during the Halloween season, but what if your kid's obsessed with zombies year-round? Or what do you do when the root of the problem is that grandpa showed him "A Nightmare on Elm Street?"
Recalling the latest crib recall: They can put a man on the moon but can't seem to get the simple baby crib right. Recently, the Delta round of recalls had parents frettin' over their crib choice. Parentdish has some up-to-the-minute info from the Consumer Product Safety Commission.
Treat Withdrawals: Dooce is one tough cookie. She's managed to wean her eight-year-old off treats. Cookies, brownies you name it. Not only is her kid eating healthier, Dooce is also saving time battling with daughter over the "ten bites of vegetables equal one treat" bargaining. Sounds like a good bargain to us.

Putting a man on the moon was easy when you used professionals with brains. Unfortunately the 50% of the population on the low side of the 100 IQ curve are allowed to have children and to put them in cribs that require assembly AND READING INSTRUCTIONS. How do you convince a parent not to use duct tape to hold a rail up, or using a cardboard box to prop up the mattress slats? Forget the moon, think about parental education. The government should regulate that all cribs be sold fully assembled and with an accidental death insurance policy.
