Hey Mr. / Mrs. Vice President, Can You Babysit?

In our last post, "Hey Mr. President, Can You Babysit?," Barack Obama won babysitting duties with 54% of the momlogic vote. Now it's time to take on the Veeps.

Still on the fence about who to cast your vote for on election day? So much of the decision hinges on whether you think Sarah Palin or Joe Biden could handle being the most powerful second banana in the world. Because, let's face it, if something (God forbid), happens to the president, they're taking over. But how to decide? One way is to consider where the candidates stand on the economy and foreign policy. Or, why not simply base it on what really matters to moms: childcare.

Cast your vote for the V.P. you would trust to babysit your kids if your regular babysitter (God forbid), backs out at the last minute.

Here's how the candidates stack up:

PROS:
  • Children can amuse themselves playing "Guess the Hair Plug."

  • Get beauty tips from his hottie wife, Jill.

  • Will filibuster your kids to sleep.
CONS:
  • Might ask you to call Hillary Clinton instead because, in his own words, "She is more qualified than I."

  • Kids will fire back with "Say, it ain't so Joe" when he tells them to go to bed.

  • Will try to take them to ice cream at Katie's Restaurant in Burlington.
Vote for Biden for Babysitter!

PROS
  • A 'pit bull in lipstick' isn't going to take any lip from your kids.

  • Will teach your kids how to shoot, skin and cure their own moose.

  • Kids will think you got "SNL's" Tina Fey to babysit!

CONS:
  • Bristol could try to use your kids to practice being a mommy.

  • By the time ya get back, your kids'll be talkin' and sayin' things a little differently.

  • Two words: Caribou cupcakes.
Vote for Palin for Babysitter!

Sarah Palin doesn’t always use a car seat for her baby. Huge disadvantage!

The way Palin holds her own baby is enough to not trust her to hold mine. I realize she’s had five kids and all but you’d think she’d look more natural by now.

Because a woman has a child does not mean she knows how to take care of one. Remember the word Nanny? that’s the person who takes care of the children after they are born through teenage years.

I think Sarah Palin is the better baby sitter of the two! She looks completely natural to me holding her sweet son. And, the interaction she has with her daughter, Piper and extended family is very loving. She has my vote for VP, as well.

Sorry Pam, you’re delusional. Palin may know how to hire a nanny or sell something on EBAY, but she has no qualifications to lead our country. She has no clue about what’s going in our world. She says she’s pro-life, but if she really were, she would not support this WAR that costs our country $10 billion a day. She says she cares about special needs children, but if she did she would support stem cell research. She wears a polar bear pin on her lapel, yet she sued the govt. for trying to protect the endangered species. She supports a dead-end healthcare proposal and bases her speeches on attacks and lies about Obama who has risen above it all. You must be a member of the wealthy 5% of our country, otherwise you should know you’re voting against yourself.
