Just when you think the lead scare is dying down, the FDA discovers elevated lead levels in vitamins -- specifically kids' and women's.

99% -- yes 99%! -- of vitamins tested were found to contain lead. Check out the complete list of those with the most and least amount.
We asked momlogic contributor, pediatrician Dr. Cara Natterson whether we should toss out our vitamins ASAP:
"A 'normal' lead level in our bodies is zero -- anything above that is too much.
Lead in vitamins and other nutritional supplements is inexcusable. But that said, if you have given your child a lead-containing vitamin, you do not need to panic. Your doctor can check a blood lead level very easily. If the level is high, the first step is to remove all sources of lead. This means (of course) stopping any vitamins that may contain the element, but also checking your house for leaded pipes and paints."
Have you been taking -- or giving your kids -- vitamins with lead?
