Momlogic's Andrea: Rumor has it Sarah Palin has tattooed lip liner. Should we really be judging the vice presidential candidate on her choice of beauty procedures?
You may be wondering what Sarah Palin's secret is that helps her juggle career and kids. It could be that she saves time by having her lip liner tattooed on her face. The latest rumors swirling around about the vice presidential candidate is she might (gasp!) have a cosmetic lip tattoo as reported by the Huffington Post.
What Sarah does to her lips should be the least of our concerns. It's what's going to come out of those lips at the debate tomorrow. Some of us wouldn't care if she had "Iditarod" tattooed across her face or sleeves of moose heads up and down her arms as long as she proves she's the right person for the job.
But the sad truth is Palin is judged by her looks -- especially by women. And it's not only high-profile women we pick apart either. We're secretly bitter a friend manages to get her hair colored once a month when we can't seem to find time to even run a comb though ours. We also instantly categorize a stranger with flashy acrylic nails as "high maintenance." So does the idea Palin possibly had mini cosmetic surgery mean she's a fake? Or maybe just vain? And why should we be talking about that -- rather than the issues?

Is this really something that you choose to spend time on? Ok here goes… Let’s say that it’s true and she has tattooed on lip liner… hey let’s go all the way and say that her perfect makeup is the result of one Helluva great tattoo artist. Does that change the fact that she still has more experience to be VICE President than Obama? NO it does not! IF she has tattooed lip liner on than that just gives her one less thing to worry about in the many mornings she’ll have as VP … and one day as President.

Wow Lea, the article talks about how the catty gossipy coverage of Palin clouds the real issues. How we women tend to judge other women based on looks which frankly I agree with — I don’t see what’s catty about it.

To Tina Perhaps you don’t see what’s catty about gossip and judging women based on their looks because you are shallow. Just something to ponder. Honestly, what is there to judge about Sarah Palin’s looks? She is absolutely beautiful. Those who don’t think so are more than likely jealous of her. That is the reason most women talk bad about another woman. Somehow that makes them feel better about themselves. I don’t get that but apparently some people do and have no problem stooping to that level. It’s sad…
