Sarah Palin's been spotted on the campaign trail without her wedding ring. Is there trouble on the Alaskan homefront?

In a photo taken of V.P. candidate Sarah Palin yesterday in Allentown, P.A., two things are a mystery -- why she has a bandage on her hand and where is that wedding ring? It's showed up in every picture since she got tapped by John McCain for his V.P. Now it just seemed to disappear!

No one would be the bit surprised if her candidacy is testing her marriage to her snowmobiling champ hubby Todd. How's this for stress: You're a mayor, a mother of five (including an infant with Down Syndrome), running for the second highest position in the land, you have a pregnant teen daughter and -- the icing on the cake -- your hubby's been called to testifying in the so-called "Troopergate" scandal. Seriously. Working on her marriage is probably the LAST thing on her mind. (For the record, we called the McCain campaign to ask about the ring and the bandage -- we haven't heard back.)

Or maybe it's just the Veep candidate thing to do? Joe Biden doesn't wear one either -- and it's not clear he ever did.

So why did Palin stop wearing hers?

She’s a public figure and the more we know about her the better. why is it so unimportant to readers who cruxified clinton on his personal affairs? She’s a shady character —- she’s only been around for 5 weeks how else are we supposed to figure out what she’s about?

Sarah Palin, repeat after me, “This too shall pass”. All of the jealousy and hatred shall pass, but until then, you have a friend in God. Why does anyone care so much about Sarah Palin’s wedding ring? I wonder if the author of this blog would believe a returned message that Sarah Palin’s marriage is going strong? If not, what was the point of the intial message to the Republican party? If God’s plans include Sarah Palin running for VP and being the VP, then He will work things out for her and it’s not for anyone else to judge. GOD will help anyone who asks for it, even if it is not the kind of help they had in mind. Let God be the Judge of what’s right. Instead of insulting Sarah Palin and attacking her personally, people should inform themselves about the real issues of this election so that they will be able to place an educated and intelligent vote next month. I think it would be wise to stop focusing on Sarah Palin’s personal life which is out of our control. American’s are not voting about if she is divorcing her husband. This isn’t American Idol or So You Think You Can Dance. This is a serious time for our country and many people are making a mockery of it. If there is anyone who doesn’t want to take voting seriously, that’s fine, but please stop spreading the plague of ignorant games. Ironically, what really ends up happening, while people try to expose Sarah Palin’s personal life, is a good and strong character shines through. Sarah Palin is willing and able to take care of others. She is willing to accept people for who they are and the choices they’ve made as she helps them through rough patches in their lives. Sarah Palin is not afraid of responsibility and because of her faith in God, she can lay her worries at His feet and focus on carrying out His plans for her. She is a Christian and a loving wife, mother, and grandmother..I thank the author of this blog for informing everyone of the wonderful talents God has given Sarah Palin.

She probably removed it intenionally because shaking a lot of hands could cause her to lose it (if it was a little loose) and she may have been afraid that it would slip off accidentally and someone would “find it” keep it as a souvenier. Didn’t someone (ahem) “remove” George Bush’s wrist watch a couple of years ago, while he was shaking hands in a crowd,? As I recall, that happened overseas somewhere … Also, if someone shakes your hand two tightly and squeezes your fingers, it can actually hurt sometimes if you are wearing a ring, especially if you don’t have thick fleshy fingers. Sarah’s hands are slender. And Sarah, John, Cindy, and Todd are all doing a heck of a lot of hand-shaking on the McCain/Palin campaign trail. In August, Cindy McCain had to wear a wrist brace because all the hand-shaking caused her some kinkd of injury or tendonitis, and I think she still wears it to protect her wrist. It might not bother a man, or any person with thicker fingers, but it would certainly bother me… so I don’t blame Sarah if she doesn’t wear her ring on the campaign trail. I wouldn’t wear one either. I bet you’ll find that Todd Palin is still wearing HIS ring….

People, it’s not the missing ring that is significant- it’s the fact that it represents a change from wearing one… and then not wearing one- it is a statement of some kind- people just want to know what the statement is.

No she can’t put it on anymore you know, she was first misled by the fisherman who could’t go to college,but now that she has been meeting Scholars and prominent people ALONGSIDE WITH SENATOR MCAIN her eyes has sundenly open.DONT WORRY SHE WILL SOON PUT FISHERMAN BACK TO THE BOAT,AND SEND HIM BACK TO BABYSIT IN ALASKA.

it looks like she has a hand injury in this photo. perhaps she just didn’t want it to get it caught up in the bandages…?

oh, if you watch her speech about her wardrobe, on october 26th, she said that she took it off because it hurt when she shook a bunch of people’s hands…

yes. a bandage on her hand a missing ring is indisputable evidence her marriage is in trouble. seriously? thats the dumbest thing ive ever heard. you could have said something about how she always talks about giving thousands of dollars to alaskans while she was governor, but forgets to mention she did that through windfall taxes the republican party hates so much, or the fact that shes grilled obama for his associations with a a domestic terrorist from the 60s or a guy who allegedly was a spokeman for the PLO, but would rather people forget that the guy she sleeps next to every night was registered to the a separatist party up until two years ago. if associations matter, you cant get more associated with a person than having five kids with them.

She has the bandage because she fell down, when she was running at McCain’s sedona ranch. She said she hasn’t been wearing the wedding ring on the trail because when she shakes hands and stuff, it smashes her finger, so she gives it to Todd before the rallies to hold it in his pocket.
