Have you ever had too many glasses of wine and fired off a frustrated late night email to your boss? Or maybe in an intoxicated stupor, you've text messaged an old boyfriend to say "Hey...what's up"?

Look, we've all been there. But now there's new technology called Mail Goggles which prevents angry employees or scorned lovers from making fools of themselves.

Consider it a sobriety test for your laptop.

The program is set to activate late at night and on weekends, and asks emailers to answer a series of short math questions before sending a message. And the answers must be completed within a short time limit.

The point is: If you can't solve a simple math problem, you probably shouldn't be sending that email.
