Teacher Fired After Pretending to Have Breast Cancer

A Tennessee high school teacher lost her teaching license after she convincingly pretended to have cancer. Suzy Bass told the faculty and students that she was battling stage IV breast cancer that had spread to her shoulder and heel. The faculty and students held events and donated money for the "sick" woman's benefit. A couple weeks before there was to be a prom dedicated to her, faculty from two schools where Bass had previously been employed came forward to say that at each she was caught pretending to have cancer. Bass lost her teaching license and has since been diagnosed with bipolar, anxiety and obsessive-compulsive disorders.

She may not have cancer, but she certainly is sick. That is just awful.

bi-polar, anxiety, ocd? Those are medical disorders. she has a character disorder.

I am glad she lost her teaching degree.. Now she won’t be messing with the kids lives anymore. She needs therapy, not pity!

Well, I think she needs Pity, therapy and another chance to get her career back. She obviously needed some type of attention. It is awful that the students had to deal with this type of betrayal but people like this really need love and compassion.
