Cops in Tennessee say a 10-year-old was driving Sunday night when he crashed a van going at least 90 mph. The van was carrying two other children, a man who told police he had at least 15 beers and liquor and a woman who was trying to swallow as many pills as she could when deputies arrived at the scene.
The boy lost control and the vehicle rolled onto its top on a northeastern Tennessee road. Everyone in the car was taken to the hospital and treated for minor injuries.
43-year-old Randy Lewis -- who was wearing a shirt that said "Buy This Dad a Beer" at the time of the accident -- was hit with seven charges, including DUI and felony reckless endangerment. In Tennessee, you can be charged with DUI if they own the vehicle, even if they are not driving. The female passenger, 38-year-old Paula Elaine Evans, faces aggravated child abuse and neglect charges.
