Sarah Palin without Makeup

Thursday, October 9, 2008

Maybe if she looked like THIS, we'd buy that she was just a regular hockey mom ...

She wore a $3,000 Valentino suit at the GOP convention, reportedly has a tanning bed in her home, may tattoo on her lip liner, gets brassy highlights, wears too much blush and sports $375 glasses. We wanted to see what she'd look like as a REAL hockey mom, so we did a lil' something ... Wink, wink ...

Plus, Palin's Newsweek cover just hit stands ... but not everyone thinks it's a fair or flattering shot (especially when compared to Obama's ethereal cover). What do you think?

WOW! This is the first time I have checked out mom logic and it will definately be the last. I cannot believe that a site dedicated to moms, and women in general is picking apart a women. This site is here to help us moms and women with self confidence, and our families? And here this site is, completely poking at a women because of the makeup she wore, the suit, and glasses. This site completely contradicts themselves and proves to be another site dedicated to making women “feel good” about ourselves by pulling others down. Such a great example to our daughters. This is simply ridiculous! And on that note… How much is McCain or Obamas suit(s) they have been wearing during their MONTHS of campaigning. I am in total agreement with AMY up top. Stop this bashing already.

she looks like your ‘typical soccer mom’ she should be proud of that, my question is who is taking care of her baby while she is out campaigning, and what is to become of her child if she wins the VP nomination, just asking

Regardless of whether or not you agree with Sarah Palin, this type of “joke” is highly inappropriate! I find it appalling that a site dedicated to moms is bashing a professional woman who also is a mother! I’ll definitely be removing MomLogic from my blog reader after this. What a shame we can’t have a good site without all this cattiness. Very disappointing!

Regina, should we be asking the same questions of Barack and what he’s doing for his kids? Or do you just save those questions for women running for office?

If she talks like a regular person then she’s putting on an act… if she uses political jargon then she’s an elitist… What is this high school? The fact is that she IS an intelligent, regular woman who just happens to be pretty darn hot! No offense but even if she were regular looking (not hot) there would never be an issue about her looks or make-up…

I’m sure she’s just as pretty! I’m not a fan of Palin, but she is a pretty woman.

sarah I agree…barack and michelle are both out campaigning…where are their kids? no one asks that. BTW it isn’t like michelle obama is a sahm or anything she has her own demanding career. i am sure her kids had nannies or went to daycare. but let’s bash palin. besides i am sure her husband is an adequate caregiver and believe it or not there are a lot of stay at home DADS these days!

Give me a break. Since this woman was picked to run for VP the MEDIA and OTHERS have put her AND her family through hell. She is a good woman with morals and values. I wear 400 dollar glasses. So what! Makeup? sometimes! why don’t you POST Michelle Obama without makeup if you are going to go after Sarah? Why? Because she is not a soccer mom? A SNOB? YES!!!!! By the way I am the mother of 5 and middle class.

In todays world and as a mom raising two self confident daughters I think it is ridiculouse to make fun of how someone looks without make up. After all, she is running for VP and what she looks like does not matter………….As a website for mom’s (not politics) this is in poor taste. Consider me unsubscribed to this website.

Come on guys, just what do you think the price of Obama and McCain’s suits cost. I’m sure just as much as Sarah’s outfit. And she is beautiful with or without makeup. She’s also a beautiful person inside and very smart. She should be running for president. Us sports Mom’s could be more budget minded than the people in Washington. We live in the real world.

Shouldn’t we be more concerned about the more important topics here instead of what she does to make herself look good???? I agree…there are some jealous people behind this article. Get a life!!!

Ican’t believe you guys are going back & forth about this. All of the candidates have been bashed at some point throughout this campaign. Stop being so sensitive when it comes to an article that is meant to be a joke. Shows like SNL have spoofed candidates for years and I bet this entire message board have all been guilty of watching and laughing. Hillary has been bashed for years (before she ran for office) for being a plain Jane and not being that attractive and lacking style, Barbara Bush was also bashed for looking older than her husband and also not being attractive. So stop getting mad when others make jokes about the candidates that we like, because if the shoe were on the other candidates foot you’d be laughing also. GET OVER IT!!! Focus on the issues and vote on election day!

Robert and Scott are right on - everyone is scared of Sarah!! She is standing up for herself and what is right, flawed and all! Lets see how great Obama looks first thing in the morning and in his sweats, certainly not as slick as he thinks he is. It has nothing to do with race or color - but everything to do with how scared y’all are scared whitless that a woman is taking on this role and is succeeding very well. Her looks are both and asset and a hindrance for both sides: if she’s gorgeous, how can she be smart? and conversely the feminists are bashing that she shouldn’t be wearing nice clothes, make up or high end glasses! good grief, I am a mother of four, a nurse (not running for VP) and I wear make up and sport 300$ glasses (I actually have three pair to go with different looks that I like) - what is wrong with me?…Absolutely nothing! Go for it Sarah and the rest of America can grow a set of kahoona’s and learn to deal with their fear - perhaps without resorting to petty childish pranks (oh wait, they won’t because ignorance is on the rise and running rampant! LOL) Stop trying to run her down with such immature tactics - at least try to attack her stance, her opinions or her responses and leave her looks, her birthmarks, her hair streaks alone! You know, she may even have an ingrown toenail too! LOLOLOLOL

Quit focusing on her appearance and focus on her policy beliefs. I am much more concerned that she believes women should not have the right to choose for themselves when pregnant. Pretty face or not, it’s ugly she thinks the average woman cannot choose what is best for herself.

What is the big deal about Palin? Pick on policy, not her clothes and make-up. I AM a regular joe, I don’t dress up much, I don’t always even shower every day. I run around taking care of my kids and my house and errands. But if I was running for Vice President, I’d be wearing a great suit, having my hair done to look good, and definately wearing make-up. ANd I bet that a vice presidential candidate gets her clothes picked out for her and has people telling her how to look. Who wouldn’t love to have a stylist helping them look fabulous? I would!

I cannot believe that the Author of the Article is so jealous of Sarah that she would go this far. I have a middle class family, and don’t see the glasses as expensive at all. Maybe you should price a pair these days. As for the tanning bed, who doesn’t tan for special occasions? I would consider being in the Public eye everyday, a worthwhile reason to. Has anyone asked how much Obama spends on his hygiene? I am sure its just as much, and Michele I am sure spends far more. For those that don’t think Sarah is of average income she and her husband did the Tax Return last year at H&R Block for $166k. Compare that to Barak and Michele’s 4 million. This was aired on TV this week on Inside Edition. Get off Sarah, start imaging what the country would be like if we have a Muslim running our country. It will be the saddest day our country has ever seen!!

I don’t think Palin is ready to be Vice President, but I think she looks pretty good without make-up. If I looked that good without it, which I don’t, I wouldn’t be adverse to going out like that. Not every day mind you, but….

Just another example of how much the media is in the tank for Obama. Look at the two different covers for the mag. They purposely shot Obama from below with the sun behind his head making him look like the light of GOD is shining on him. Some people even think he is the second coming. However, they blow up Sarah Palin’s face, drag half of it off the cover and mess with other things to make her look strange. Give me a break. I am so sick and tired of the media shoving Obama down my throat. I can’t wait until this election is over. If Obama wins, I can’t wait until these Reverend Obama followers start crying fowl when he does just what every other President has done - NOTHING. However, if McCain wins, these same Reverend Obama followers will cry that the race was fixed so the Black Man wouldn’t win. Give me a break. The elections this year will be just as much a joke as when Bush was handed the Presidency by the Supreme Court. We all found out then that our votes don’t count.
