The city of Scranton, Pennsylvania is paying $19,000 in legal fees to a woman who was detained for swearing at a toilet last year. She was arrested after her obscenities where heard by an off-duty police officer through her open window. She was hollering at the toilet because it was overflowing. A judge found her innocent of the disorderly conduct charges, saying that she had a constitutional right to cuss in her home. The American Civil Liberties Union announced the settlement yesterday.

This is nuts! Oviously the police officer had nothing better to do then bother with a women screaming at her toliet. To think that we as tax payers have to pay stupid police officers for this type of arrest. Maybe this officer needs to find another job! He/she isn’t doing what he is being paid for in the one he/she has right now. Can you imagine the joking in the police station? I don’t think this one will go away too soon….LOL
