You're Better with Makeup On
A new study says women who wear cosmetics are more confident and have better communication skills than those who don't.
You how putting on a fresh coat of lipstick can give you a pick-me-up? Or how applying cover-up to a blemish makes you feel a little more bold?
Well that's no coincidence. According to a new study, when women apply makeup, they become more confident and in turn have better communication skills.
Here's how it works: When a woman looks at herself in the mirror after applying makeup, her brain chemicals change, reacting as though the reflection is a different person. This "new" reflection causes the woman to view herself more objectively (and briefly forget her flaws), which creates more confidence and better communication skills.
That doesn't mean every woman has to slap on a face full of war paint when she leaves the house, but it's nice to know a little lipstick can result in newfound confidence!
