An United Airlines crew used duct tape to restrain a woman after she harassed flight attendants and other passengers.

Maria Esther Castillo, 45, was flying from Puerto Rico to the United States when she allegedly hit a flight attendant repeatedly on the buttocks and pulled the hair of a nearby blind passenger.

The flight crew attempted to restrain Castillo with ankle cuffs that repeatedly slipped off, forcing them to use duct tape.

The FBI said that Castillo was seen drinking at an airport bar before the flight and that she became unruly after the flight attendants refused to serve her.

Castillo has been charged with resisting arrest and interfering with the operations of a flight crew.
