"The Real Housewives of Atlanta" was a huge hit for Bravo and it was also our latest guilty pleasure.

Lisa, Sheree, NeNe, DeShawn and Kim shocked and entertained us this season. Some of their antics were so over the top -- like when NeNe sought a paternity test for her own father and Sheree had a fashion show without any clothes -- we started to wonder what exactly is real about these housewives.

Luckily, Yahoo sorted through the online rumors to try to find some truth about our fave southern belles.

Sheree Whitfield

This sassy and self-proclaimed classy former NFL wife is a mother of two or three. While Sheree has two children with ex-NFL star Bob Whitfield, bloggers say she also has a 23-year-old daughter who she has reportedly referred to as a "friend."

Nene Leakes

The showy and boisterous wine aficianado is rumored to have participated in the show to further an acting career, even though she claims her involvement was to promote her domestic violence foundation, Twisted Hearts. Other rumors say she is a former "dancer."

Kim Zolciak

The voluptuous divorced mother of two aspires to be a country sensation (whether or not she has the voice). Eyebrows were raised when Kim claimed to be 29, but bloggers confirmed with the DMV that Kim is a year shy of 30. Kim has a mystery sugar daddy who she calls "Big Poppa." Bloggers think they have uncovered his identity as being a married commercial real estate developer known throughout Atlanta.

Lisa Wu Hartwell

This NFL wife and new mom is probably the housewife with the most sordid past. Lisa's ex-husband is R&B star Keith Sweat. According to the blogs, she has two kids with him who are not featured on the show, so it's unclear who has custody of them. The self-proclaimed expert businesswoman actually filed for bankruptcy in 2007. She's also rumored to have used other names in the past such as Sharon Millette Wu, Sharon Lisa Sweat, and Lisa Wu Sweat. Lisa apparently got into a huge fight with Kim, who now allegedly has a restraining order against her costar

Deshawn Snow

The NBA wife and mother of three is new to Atlanta. She claims never to have seen her 15,000-square-foot mega-mansion before she walked into the decorated home after it was finished. This housewife seems to have the cleanest past.
