Bloody Mary Celebrates Anniversary

Drink up. Monday December 1st will mark the 75th Anniversary of the classic American cocktail, the Bloody Mary, which originated in New York City.
Originally called the "Red Snapper", the Bloody Mary was made by Ferdinand Petiot, a French bartender who came to the United States in 1933. It was not until Tobasco sauce was added to the drink that it became known as the Bloody Mary.
New York City will proclaim December 1st Bloody Mary Day and honor Petiot's granddaughter with a citation and a toast with her grandfather's world famous drink in Times Square.
Not that we ever need an excuse to have a Bloody Mary, but why wait to celebrate until Monday, start drinking this morning!
