Eleven-year-old Brenden Foster was like every other kid -- loved video games and playing outside with his friends. But after a long battle with leukemia, Brenden died in his mother's arms.
Brenden's dying wish was not to meet his favorite celebrity or go on an exotic vacation -- it was to feed the homeless. A simple wish that he saw come true.
People all over the country from Seattle, Los Angeles, Ohio to Florida joined him in participating in food drives to help feed the homeless.Brenden's grandmother was thankful for the overwhelming support and said it was a "beautiful response to his wish" and affirmation that his life has meaning.
When asked what made him sad, Brenden said with a tear rolling down his cheek: "when someone gives up".
"Follow your dream. Don't let anything stop you." Those were Brenden's words. Words he lived by.
