A security guard hired to protect Brad Pitt at an event last night wound up manhandling him instead.

When Brad Pitt arrived to the L.A. premiere of his new film "The Curious Case of Benjamin Button" last night, a plain-clothed security guard grabbed Brad and pulled him back, reports TMZ. Pitt eventually broke away and reportedly exchanged words with the security guard.

"We were told by Mr. Pitts' people that he was being followed by numerous paparazzi that ran a minimum of 20 red lights to keep up with Mr. Pitt," the so-called "executive protection specialist" involved in the paparazzi scuffle said. "When Mr. Pitt arrived at the theater approximately seven paparazzi bumrushed the front door of the theater and began to rush inside. It's security's sole priority to protect the talent and I removed Mr. Pitt immediately from what could have been a potentially dangerous situation."
