According to the Daily Mail, Jayden appeared "vague and unresponsive."

The tabloid reports that rather than waiting for an ambulance, the family raced to the hospital themselves. Brit's little sis Jamie Lynn blocked the hordes of paparazzi that were following them so Britney could speed away with the little one.

The family is staying their hometown of Kentwood, LA. This is the first time Spears has been allowed to leave the state of California with Jayden and three-year-old Sean Preston. Their father Kevin Federline was granted full custody of the children in July.

The paper reports the 26-year-old mom refused to leave her son's bedside at the hospital, where he was kept overnight for observation.

UPDATE: TMZ reports that Jayden did not suffer a seizure - he just ate something bad.
