Why Nobody is Looking for Caylee

Friday, November 21, 2008

Momlogic spoke to the lead spokesperson from the investigation on why he believes Caylee Anthony is dead.

Caylee anthony

Most people following the tragic case of missing Caylee Marie Anthony believe the child met her end at the hands of her own mother, Casey Anthony. Adding to the public's doubts of Casey Anthony's innocence, Cindy and George Anthony's lawyer quit yesterday because he said he could no longer stand by his clients' belief their granddaughter is alive. Now even the lead investigators on the case believe the three-year-old is dead. Officials at the Orange County Sheriff Department issued a statement today that they will only follow tips leading to finding Caylee's remains. They will no longer investigate Caylee Anthony sightings.

This means the latest sighting released by Cindy and George Anthony of a little girl playing on a playground in west Florida will be ignored.

Why? We spoke with Sgt. Carlos Padilla from the Orange County Sheriff's Office for an explanation. "Everything we have: the evidence from the labs, the grand jury indictment, the FBI reports ... they all say that Caylee is dead," he explains. "It would be irresponsible for us to keep up false hope. The sheriff's office will go with what the evidence indicates, and it indicates the child is dead."

Carlos Padilla is particularly outraged at the Anthonys for releasing a picture of the girl at the playground. "First of all," argues Padilla, "I have five kids, I can spot them in any picture. The Anthonys raised Caylee. They should know what she looks like."

The image he refers to is of a little girl about the same age as Caylee with the same color hair. But if the police did indeed investigate that lead, this is what would happen next: "That family, the parents of that child, would now have to verify that the child is theirs," he says. "Police would come to their house and the parents would have to come forward." Investigating such tips and leads costs police time, money, and resources.

One of the other considerations, according to Padilla, is how a continued search for Caylee would affect the jury at Casey Anthony's trail, set for January. "If we continue to look for a living child, when we have all the evidence to the contrary, it can be used as a way to cast doubt on the jury," he says. "We can be accused of still following leads and tips -- so, the defense can claim we must think the girl is alive. The Anthonys, apparently, are trying to keep the doubt going-- in that way, they can help save their daughter."

Padillia, proud father of five, says he uses Casey's story as a lesson for his older kids: "I tell them that this is an example of a lie." He says that if Casey would just admit what she did, if it was an accident, there could be closure and she wouldn't be on charged with first-degree murder. "But now," he concludes, "it's too late."

What do you think about the police department calling off the search for Caylee? Comment below.

The police are absolutely right to stop this wild goose chase looking for a child everyone including George and Cindy knows is dead. According to what they even said on the FBI tapes, Cindy and George knew Caylee was dead the minute they smelled that dead body in the car and Casey confirmed she hadn’t seen Caylee in 31 days and hadn’t told a soul. No mother doesn’t report her child missing unless she knows she is dead and is covering up the crime. If George and Cindy believed any of these sightings were their granddaughter, they’d be camped out in that area looking for her, instead of expecting the police to go look for her, especially since they say they don’t trust the police. They want to keep the police busy running down false leads so they won’t find Caylee’s body or find more evidence to convict Casey.

I think the picture does look like Casey, but there is no real evidence that it is. I just wish this would come to an end for Caylees sake. The holidays are coming up and she needs to be home with the ones that love her, family and friends. I do believe that Casey loves her daughter, but has some serious issues that she needs to work out, whether its in jail or in a mental hospital. But then again,it did come back to say that she had no mental illness. Maybe she was just to young to have a child. There are alot of questions that everyone wants answers to, but the only way to get these answers are from Casey, herself. Maybe someone did set her up,maybe somebody did take Caylee. But in my eyes, I think Casey did have something to do with it and didnt think it would go this far or this long.

OOPS! Meant to say the picture did look like Caylee not Casey. But now that Im back, I would like to say that Casey is a grown woman and a mother at that, and she should have been a little more self-conscious when it came to who she left her child with. Also, she has told so many lies about the whole story. I think Cindy and George know a little more than they are letting out also. Her brother Lee, havent really heard much from him lately. Mmm? I just pray that whomever has Caylee would just set her free and let her go home. If that is the case, that somebody has her. If only Casey would speak up and tell the truth, its not too late Casey! Just come out with what you know.

As long as there are naive people out there who believe Cindy when she says that Caylee is alive we will not stop hearing Cindy’s tall tales of Caylee sightings, when the reality of it all is that sadly Caylee is dead. How can people simply dismiss the fact that there was human composition in the trunk of Casey’s car? A person doesn’t have to be a rocket scientist to use their logic and put two strong indicators of Caylee’s death together. One Caylee has not been seen for over 25 weeks and she was last seen with Casey. There was human composition in the trunk of Casey car. One plus one, my friend, equals two no matter how you add it up. The only way that picture in the mall could be Caylee is if Cindy or someone in the family took it before Caylee was murdered. I wouldn’t put it past her and since the Anthony’s are looking at all angles I think we must do the same. Why in heavens name would anyone believe anything that Casey has to say when she is a known thief and liar? Do you believe it’s fine to lie to law enforcement and FBI and lead them on a wild goose chase, saying you work and have an office when you haven’t held a job, at the place you took them to, for two years? If that’s what you believe then the next time you’re in trouble and need help call one of the Anthony’s instead of the police.

Very nicely put Robin, and your right by the law, the law that should apply to all. Yes, we all want to point our fingers and hate Casey don’t we? And look how easy, not only she made it, but the media made it for us to sit up in our glass houses and judge her and feel superior to her. I am guilty of that too, and I have to take a minute and look at the way this entire case has been handled and turned into circus for us to watch, and they have to keep throwing us little morsels to keep us interested. Come on fellow Americans, think about the unethical way this has been done. And don’t think it couldn’t happen to anyone of us,(circumstances different)but isn’t our legal system suppose to be built on innocent until proven guilty? or have we evolved backwards now and ready to start feeding the people like Casey that we hate to the lions or hang her in the town square before her trial? If our legal system fails her, it fails all of us whether we like it or not. When she is tried and convicted from a jury of her peers, then she should be considered quilty. We are all entitled to that by law. If she is tried in the media like she has been, there is no doubt she will more than likely win any appeals after that. Im sorry if any of you out there think the law should only be for some and not for all, but its the only way our legal system can work.

Well thank god Tina, now they don’t have to go to all the trouble of selecting a jury or worry about having a judge or a trial or anything because you obvousily have the seat right next to our maker to be able to judge all and convict all right there in your living room in front of your t.v. I mean hell Tina, if you saw it on Nancy Grace, then it must be fact. Nevermind that the media is the single most mind control method in this country. But thats probably a little to deep for you, it involves useing your brain instead of believing everything you see on T.V.and taking it as the gospel. The best example I can tell you to check out how powerful the media is , to rent the movie “natural born killers” and see how the media created what they wanted the public to think and believe. And most of the information we get is all from the t.v. and radio, think about it …for a change before you go spouting off about who should burn in hell and who deserves what. You think you know because you saw it on T.v. and thats the only reason.

G Harland, Our investigative team has read your posts here with interest. We therefore wanted to establish credibility for your study and follow your exact digital comparison procedures, the ones you used with Caylee Anthony’s photos and that of the playground child. We procured one of your own photos—a head shot of you—to analyze using state-of-the-art digital equipment. We must admit the results shocked our researchers, and they don’t shock easily. When we superimposed the head of Robert Reed (the Brady Bunch dad) over your own head, it was a perfect match. Out of 100 points, we were able to confirm 98 of them, which rules out any other possibility. To sum, if you have a sudden urge to marry a woman with three blonde daughters or become an architect, please don’t panic. Marcie

At least people like G.H. and Robin are useing thier own brain instead of having thier belifs dictated to them through the media. No wonder our country is going the direction it is,very few can think for thierselves. Its scarry wondering how many Tina and Marcie clones are out there just waiting for the next Nancy Grace episode to find out what they should be thinking and believe about this case.

colleen- I like that you type your name in all lower case. It’s quite apt and very symbolic. Marcie

Marcie - I like that you pointed out someone else’s mistake regarding how the identified themself as retaliation for the fact that colleen just pretty much owned you in the face, and you had nothing intelligent to say in retort. It’s quite amusing and embarrassing to see someone who claims your intelligence level to stoop that low.

Marcie- I like that you were quick to insult the way colleen identifies herself in retaliation to the fact that she just owned you in the face and you have no logical retort to her comment. It’s quite depressing and very symbolic of your truely genuine wit. Jimmy

Marcie, that is a very funny post that GHarland is a digital match for Robert Reed. Did you also write the very funny post by anonymous about the real Zenaida Gonzalez (who is suing Casey) and Lee Anthony being exact digital matches for the Hispanic couple with their backs to the camera sitting on a bench with arms around each other. With your satire, you are showing how crazy this is getting with people actually believing every little three year old girl in America is a girl who tragically died at the hands of her mother. It is sad that Casey is such a coward that she can’t admit what she did to her own daughter and the location of her daughter’s body. Instead, Casey allows her parents to make fools of themselves going to any lengths to prove their granddaughter is alive and their daughter isn’t a murderer. I’m convinced this picture was the work of art of the Anthony family, their private investigator or the frauds who call themselves Kidfinders.

This should be called kids logic…or better yet, stepford moms logic…since the majority here seem to be programmed to give the illution of thinking, when really they just reword and repeat the only data they can comprehend since its given to them in daily doses, and since they are not programmed to question or verify any of it, it becomes thier truth. ………think on stepford moms!! time to go share comments elsewhere where the posters acually can debate on a “think for yourself” level

Colleen, I can’t understand a word you are saying. Could you speak English? Just because we believe Caylee is dead and Casey is guilty of murder, doesn’t mean we aren’t thinking for ourselves. We are simply looking at the evidence and deciding for ourselves. Before Casey was indicted for first degree murder, most of the blogs were full of people who said Caylee was dead and Casey was guilty of murder. After Casey was indicted, Cindy starts appearing on every TV show saying Caylee is alive and Casey is innocent and bloggers like you appear trying to say the media and police are brainwashing us. Casey has guilty written all over her forehead. Only a mother who killed her child would fail to report her missing, tell friends and family for 31 days her toddler was having fun with a nanny and then when her mother demands to see her granddaughter and calls the police when the mother refuses, the mother lies to the police and tries to steer them away from finding her daughter. No one kidnapped Caylee. No one is framing Casey. She is guilty of killing her own daughter. The forensics and her own behavior tells me this, not the cops or media.

Hi Sally, No, that wasn’t me. I haven’t seen the post you refer to, but it sounds funny :)I don’t post anonymously, so that wouldn’t be me. I find “colleen’s” writing style inarticulate as well, all I can glean from her posts (I scan them now, they are too painful to read) is that anyone who thinks Caylee is dead is suffering from a terminable case of groupthink and is therefore incapable of forming an opinion. In other words, anyone who disagrees with her is stupid and ovine. I care nothing about the scolding people like you and I are taking from sophomoric writers who can’t spell even the most basic English words, or people who can’t even see with their own eyes that the so-called “Caylee sighting” did in no way resemble Caylee (Caylee was much prettier and had softer features; more importantly, her decomposing hair was in a car trunk). What I care about right now is that this grandmother, Cindy, is obstructing justice and running around untethered. I would like to see her shut down, controlled and charged. That woman may be more poison than her hot body contest-loving daughter. I certainly have started to—-amazingly—feel pity for Casey. That mutant who raised her is so toxic that raising a normal child would have been a miracle rivaled only by Fatima. Nice to meet you, Sally.

Marcie, I agree with everything you said. It’s ironic to me that these posters who are claim we are being brainwashed by the media and cops are parroting Cindy’s words on every TV station. I believe it is the people who say Caylee is alive and Casey is innocent who are being brainwashed. Anyone with common sense and a brain can tell Caylee was decomposing in that trunk and Casey killed her and disposed of the body. I formed my opinion that Caylee was dead and Casey was guilty the first time I ever watched this case on TV. It was at Casey’s hearing when she was arrested for lying to the police and for child neglect. The homicide detective on the stand said his cadaver dog alerted on the car trunk and in the back yard of the Anthony home. He also said he smelled human composition in Casey’s car trunk and he said you never forget that smell. Casey’s own mother who is a registered nurse and her father, a former homicide detective, both stated they smelled human composition when they picked up the car from the tow company. As did the tow company driver. No cops or reporters are telling us this. We are hearing it from the testimony of Casey’s parents and witnesses. The FBI labs confirmed human decomposition in the back of the car and that a hair with a death band on it was probably Caylee’s. That’s evidence, not brainwashing from the cops and media. Cindy is trying to brainwash the public to think like her and some are apparently falling for it. I am glad that Marcie, you and I have the common sense to think for ourselves and not be brainwashed by Cindy as some on this blog have allowed themselves to be.
