How does a loving mother become a suspected murderer? Dr. Deborah Schurman-Kauflin, known for her keen observation of the BTK serial killer, has more than 20 years of experience in profiling. In an exclusive interview with momlogic, the renowned profiler clues in on Casey Anthony's criminal-like behavior.

Mothers who kill are typically "narcissistic" and "addicted to drama," says Dr. Schurman-Kauflin. Out of sight, out of mind -- that was Casey's reaction to her daughter's disappearance. She let over a month go by without reporting Caylee was missing. Even when Caylee was around, Casey complained about taking care of Caylee, whom she called a "little snot head."

According to Dr. Schurman-Kauflin, Casey's promiscuity and partying also raises questions about her mental state. Female predators are often sexually abused at a young age, which creates a desire to "project an overly sexy image." Just weeks after she told investigators she didn't know Caylee's whereabouts, Casey was photographed at a local lounge drinking with friends. "The partying goes back to Casey's desire to be attractive," says Dr. Schurman-Kauflin. "That's more important to her than her [daughter]. Having children grounds a person, and she didn't want to be grounded."

Another issue is Casey's lying. Investigators have caught Casey lying on numerous occasions. Not only did she claim she worked at Universal Studios, she also told police that Caylee was with her babysitter. The sitter later denied knowing the Anthony family. According to Dr. Schurman-Kauflin, Casey's trail of lies suggests she can't handle the truth. "Reality is ugly and women who kill want beauty," explains Dr. Schurman-Kauflin. "This way they can live in their fantasy world where they are like princesses. In everything they do, they value appearance over substance."

Since Casey hasn't displayed any outward signs of distress, Dr. Schurman-Kauflin believes Caylee's death wasn't an accident. Casey isn't panicking or returning to the scene of the crime. "When reality sets in, guilt usually gets the better of such perpetrators," says Dr. Schurman-Kauflin. "I do not see these behaviors with Casey."

Now that Casey's behind bars, Dr. Schurman-Kauflin thinks she'll probably keep the details of the case to herself. "Casey thinks if she keeps quiet, there will be people who will never believe Caylee was harmed ...When I interviewed female serial killers, they told me that they too keep quiet when questioned." Casey's trial will be held in January.

I dont’ think I can stomach anymore of this case, I mean children everywhere go missing and die at the hands of thier parents, and its such a tragedy. But its one thing to inform the public of it and ask for help, but everyone involved in this Casey Anthony case and alot that really arent involved have turned this into a side show. And the parents down to the bounty hunter have cashed in on this or trying. That in it self is a crime. The bounty hunter Pedilla or whatever his name is , is a camera loving weisel just trying to make everyone think hes so smart and so concerned, all he cares about is himself,(no wonder he can do such a good profile of Casey). And I think we as parents and we as just decent human beings need to quit feeding into every little bit of dirt the media throws us and turns it into frenzy. I am done , this has gotten way out of hand.

I Want To Know Why Casey Has A Private Jail Cell. Ummmm Face It Put Her With The Rest What Ever Happens, Happens She Deserves What She Gets That Baby Did Not Deserve What It Got By No Means.

Very early in the case, it was mentioned that she wanted to have an abortion but the mother would not hear of it. Could be some twisted revenge to get back at her mother?? Casey and Caylee were living in the grandparents home were they not?? So why a babsitter? Also she says she went on vacation? Where?? Any proof of a “vacation”?? Is the child’s father around?? Havn’t heard of him on the news.

seth, there was never a babysitter/nanny since casey had no money since she didn’t work. i think what happened is casey was suffocating in her parent’s home, she didn’t want the baby anyway, she fought with her mother constantly and stole and lied and partied and slept around, and when her mother confronted her about stealing money from casey’s own grandmother at the rest home, cindy started choking casey and threatened to get custody of caylee and casey said *&^%$# it, and caylee’s number was up. casey saw her as a mistake anyway and the father was some random trick she went to bed with (maybe even for money…was she a part time escort??) and caylee was disposable to her. so either accidentally or on purpose she got rid of caylee so she could have her life back as a 22 year old. her boyfriend didn’t want daughters, her friends didn’t want her bringing her daughter around to parties, she couldn’t get along with her parents who watched caylee, and casey saw the only way out was to do away with her. she wanted to marry tony and didn’t want caylee as baggage and really didn’t feel remorse when she did away with her? and then went to a single party lifestyle until she got busted and dragged to jail by cindy. and then the charade really began.

I have followed this case for months. I felt the mother had killed her 4 weeks after I heard the news. Everytime I see that little Cayley sitting on her grandfather’s lap, I want to cry. Now she sings with the book she likes to read. It would be almost unbearable if there weren’t the good Lord to take her home. I have no feeling for Casey. I can’t stand to see her face. I think she should rot in prison as her daughter did. M. Dodson

You know, a big deal is made of Casey calling her daughter a “little snot-head”, but parents have called their kids brats, pains in the but, witches, rotten kids. And have said “I coulda killed her/him for doing that….Yes, she killed her kid—but let go of that comment.

In the new evidence documentation, it says that the police went to Anthony Lazzaro’s apt and also Amy H’s apt. They were asked about duct tape and also laundry bags … Amy and Casey had a text conversation that she lost Amy’s duct tape…in the new evidence ..it says that Tony and Amy both denied Casey ever having duct tape…interesting… New evidence shows that Lee is not the father of Caylee…

If Casey had never given birth to Caylee she would have been a HUSTLER around men in her life. Casey was looking for a sugar daddy. She didn’t want to work for a living,but I believe she had a interest in being a call girl,escort call it what you want. If she were to meet the right people that are in this kind of work and showed her the ropes,I think she would have pursued it. I personally know a woman who married a friend of mine and told people exactly why her daughter left Michigan for Florida - ESCORT BUSINESS.This woman is conniving,decietful and was only concerned with herself totally. It shows a mile wide and a mile long even as she sits in jail. The disrespect she shows for her father came from Cindy calling George names in front of Casey. If the Anthony’s could see their selves and look in from the outside they would see fools. I think that they will move out of that neighborhood after Casey goes to prison. The court case coming up will put them thru HELL. Every skeleton in their closet will be public record. A book will come out of this murder case and hit the best sellers list because it will be about what doctors see going on in Casey’s mind and explain it to the public. Could your daughter wind up to be a Casey Anthony.
