The private investigator working with the Anthonys to locate Caylee Marie believes Casey Anthony is a "loving and protective mother."

Over the weekend, Equusearch spearheaded a massive effort in the Orlando, Florida area to locate the remains of missing toddler Caylee Marie Anthony. Over a thousand volunteers combed the terrain for two days -- but found no signs of the child.

There is one man who is not in the least surprised by the outcome.

Dominic Casey, head of D & A Investigations, Inc., the agency working with the Anthony family to find Casey Anthony's missing daughter, spoke exclusively with momlogic. And he vehemently believes the three-year-old is alive.

"You can call me crazy," says Dominic, who has been a private investigator for 20 years. "Everyone is calling me crazy. I get death threats on a daily basis."

With all the evidence mounting against Caylee's mother Casey, it seems like a long shot the little girl will ever come home. From the mysterious "nanny" Casey claimed was watching after Caylee, to her chloroform recipe search, the partying and -- most of all -- Casey's father George's revelation that he noticed the "familiar" stench of death in the trunk of Casey's car.

Whatever George Anthony smelled, Dominic is convinced it was not Caylee Marie. "There is no indication in any of the forensic reports," insists Dominic, "that say that the decomposition was of a human nature. They are all inconclusive."

Dominic Casey says he is still actively searching for clues, just has he has been since days after Caylee's disappearance -- all pro bono. "We offered our services to the Anthonys and since then we have not taken one cent from them. It's not about the money. One's ability to pay should not deny the right to available resources, especially in the case of missing child."

In addition to his ongoing investigation, Dominic speaks with the Anthonys on a daily basis. "George and Cindy are good people living a nightmare." And he stresses at no time have the Anthonys ever doubted the innocence of their daughter. "Absolutely not. Never. They completely support Casey." But, he adds, "I would never give them false hope." Dominic has also spoken many times with Casey, meeting with her in Orange County Jail early as August. "She is absolutely distraught," says Dominic when asked about her demeanor on these visits, "I cannot imagine what that girl is going through."

Ultimately, Dominic is sick of the sensationalism that surrounds this case. "Please, stop the negativity," he pleads. In his opinion, one detail that keeps feeding the media frenzy is law enforcement's release of nearly 1000 tips from psychics to the public -- not legitimate Caylee sightings. "The Sheriff's department claims they are withholding the tips because they are currently investigating them. But that's impossible," Dominic says, adding "There are in excess of 5,000 tips. By withholding the tips of people who say they saw Caylee Marie, it just fuels the public opinion that Caylee Marie is no longer with us. And that is untrue."

For some, Dominic realizes it's difficult to understand how he or, for that matter the Anthonys, can have hope for Caylee Marie's safe return. Dominic puts the question directly to parents. "What if your child disappeared and there was no conclusive evidence that the child was dead, would you give up the search?"

Another search begins today, this one led by Leonard Padilla, the bounty hunter who helped post Casey Anthony's bail. Padilla is heading up a dive team searching a river in the Orlando area. As with the Equusearch effort, Dominic says he would be absolutely devastated if Caylee's remains were found. "I would fall apart. I would not believe the remains were of Caylee Marie. Not for one minute would I believe Casey would do that to her child. I've spent many hours with her and she is a loving and protective mother."

to caylee angel this is distubing beyond anything else going on in the world…i want to find a way in to see the filth in jail,i live in canada but would spend whatever i have too to see this filth come clean and tell us where to find baby girls remains…look out filth your worst nightmare is cominG!!!

I hope nothing like this ever happens to any of you or anyone that you love. Caylee is alive and I know this because I did my homework. I didn’t rely on any forum to give me my links or corrupt me with their opinions. I came into this thing outraged as to why they couldn’t find volunteers to search for her. I rounded up a group of friends and we were going to Orlando. But then as I was reading everything I could get my hands on…. I realized that there is no-nada-nothing to convince me of Caylee’s death and even if she had died, there is no way that I could leave the kinda comments that most of you do. Who are you to judge? I know that one day all of the hateful people on these boards will be sticking their foots in the mouth while secretly praying that they never get railroaded like Casey has!!! Life is a cicle and what energy you put out comes back ten-fold. Try something different and pray that you and your lil pea brain is wrong and that this minority of people waiting for Caylee to come home is right….. and if you can’t do this then you are in it for the wrong reason!

Its sad that the general public can be so swayed by the media. I personaly, have come to my OWN conclusion. I do not believe this baby is dead. There are far too many inconsistancies. Do I KNOW what happened? No. Do I KNOW if Casey searched for Caylee? No. And despite what YOU think you know, you can not say she DID NOT search for her. No one is going to know anything until the trial. Its downright scary how much hatred there is for Casey and her family when no knows what truly happened. All this based on what the MEDIA has told you what to think.

I think that Casey has done something with Caylee and I think that she has a relationship going on with her attorney. With all the time that she had spent with him before going to jail I have to say something was going on if not why was she spending so much time in his office? I feel that they will find something in the Blanchard Park area because that was the last place Casey was at. I have thought that from the beginning. I just hope one of these days they will find her body and get this done and over with so her parents can start living a normal life again. Time will tell

Ufgirl, you say you know Caylee is alive because you did your homework. What evidence do you have she is alive? If she is alive, where is she? Anonymous, the media is not telling anyone what to think. The media is printing and airing interviews and documents that will be used as evidence in court. We are making up our minds based on the same evidence a jury will hear. If Casey is innocent, she should have reported her daughter missing and told the police the truth. She is in jail facing first degree murder charges because she abandoned her car after disposing of her daughter’s decomposing body and then lied to the police about everything from her job to what she did to Caylee. Innocent people do not lie to the police when they are trying to help them find their daughter.

HAVE ANYONE OF YOU STOPPED TO THINK THAT JUST MAYBE CASEY WAS TRYING TO PUT HER CHILD IN HIDING BECAUSE THERE MAY HAVE BEEN SOMETHING GOING ON THAT WAS HARMING CAYLEE? THAT COULD EXPLAIN THE ARGUMENT WITH HER MOTHER THE DAY BEFORE CAYLEE WAS MISSING, MAYBE CASEY TRIED TO TELL HER MOTHER THIS HORRIBLE SECRET AND CINDY DIDNT BELIEVE CASEY, SO CASEY LEAVES WITH CAYLEE AND FINDS SOMEONE TO HELP HIDE CAYLEE. THAT COULD VERY WELL EXPLAIN THE RELAXED BEHAVIOUR SHE HAD WHILE SHOPPING, PARTYING AND BUYING GROCERYS,IT COULD EXPLAIN THE “OTHER” CELL PHONE SHE HAD AND LOST(FOR USE OF CONTACTING HER UNDERGROUND HELP) MAYBE CASEY REALLY DOES KNOW WHERE CAYLEE IS AND CASEY IS PROTECTING HER DAUGHTER BY NOT SAYING ANYTHING TO ANYONE, WE ALL KNOW SHE IS GOOD AT KEEPING A SECRET. MAYBE CAYLEE HAS BEEN PUT IN HIDING WITH A CHANGED IDENTITY AND NAME.MAYBE CAYLEE IS NOT MEANT TO BE FOUND FOR HER OWN PROTECTION. I JUST CAN NOT BELIEVE THAT A MOTHER AS INTELLIGENT AS CASEY SEEMS TO BE WOULD DO SOMETHING TO BE RID OF HER DAUGHTER TO BE ABLE TO “ENJOY LIFE” ALL OF THE COMPUTER SEARCHING THAT CASEY HAD DONE PRIOR TO CAYLEE’S DISAPPEARANCE IN REFERENCE TO THE MISSING CHILDREN WEB SITE AND THE CHLORAFORM WAS TO FIND OUT WHO TO CALL FOR HELP FOR UNDERGROUND HIDING. IT COULD BE THAT CASEY FOUND THAT HELP.IT COULD VERY WELL BE THAT CAYLEE IS STILL ALIVE, AFTER ALL, THERE WAS NO BODY FOUND.

The relationship between a private investigator and their clients is contractual. The investigator has a duty to follow the client’s instructions and can not act outside the clients orders. Since a private investigator is not a member of a police force or any law enforcement, and the client privilege is amongst the most stringent degree of confidentially, who is to say what instructions were given to Dominic in order to favor the defense of the Anthony’s daughter? I find it absolutely bazaar that Dominic did not mention how he came to the conclusion that Casey was a good mother other than saying “I’ve spent many hours with her and she is a loving and protective mother.” I’m sorry to say but that is laughable. Even a professional, such as a psychiatrist or psychotherapist can not evaluate someone after spending only hours with them. That’s a ludicrous comment because a sociopath hides behind a mask of normalcy in order to make their victims believe they are nice, friendly and normal. They are known to be super great actors. Also, Dominic does not explain anything, other then him reading the forensic reports, about how he came to the conclusion that Caylee is alive. That is not all the evidence the prosecution has… it’s the total puzzle, piece by piece once put together, that will prove that Casey is guilty of this heinous crime. In my opinion, Dominic’s words are full of hot air and not the least bit credible.

Of course it’s POSSIBLE that Caylee is still alive, however that doesn’t mean there is any good reason (nor evidence) to support that belief. It’s also POSSIBLE that Caylee was abducted by aliens, disappeared in the Bermuda triangle, or perhaps she spontaneously combusted. But you would be wasting time, energy and resources investigating any of those possibilities. Not all ‘possible explanations’ are equal - some of them are more likely to be true than others. The most likely explanation here is that Caylee is dead. It is POSSIBLE that she’s still alive but it’s not very PROBABLE and there is no good evidence to support that belief. The best answer is ‘we don’t know for sure, but probably she is dead.’

SHAME ON THE FLORIDA LAW ENFORCEMENT FOR THE WAY THIS CASE HAS BEEN CONDUCTED. THIS IS NOT THE FIRST TIME THEY BLOTCH UP CASES. FOR THOSE THAT LIVE HERE THEY KNOW WHAT I MEAN. FLORIDA THE BEAUTIFUL SUNSHINE STATE WITH LAWS THAT CONSUME THE RETIREE’S PENSIONS. NOW AS A NURSE I HAVE BEEN AROUND MANY DEAD BODIES AND STILL DO NOT KNOW WHAT A DEAD BODY SMELLS LIKE. OF COURSE WE DONT KEEP THEM VERY LONG . I AM NOT SURE WHY CINDY WOULD OF SAID THAT. HOWERVER SHE DID. THIS WHOLE MESS HAS BEEN A CIRCUS HERE. AND THAT PADILLA IS TRYING TO MAKE MONEY BY RETREIVING HER SKULL TO FAME. THIS IS SAD. THERE IS A LITTLE GIRL MISSING AND I WILL KEEP LOOKING FOR HER UNTIL SOMEONE PROVES SHE IS DECEASED. I believe that Caylee is alive and one day she will pop out of the blues. In my opinion, it could well be that the person who has Caylee was in an argument with Casey and she is holding up the child for revenge. Everything is possible. I firmly believe that Casey is innocent until they find a body and the grandparents truly believe that she is and will not give up their search for their little princess. It is wrong for someone to speculate stories about the Anthony’s - how can you accuse someone of a crime - the body has not been found.

No, I don’t believe that Casey is innocent! If this imaginary nanny did exist, there would at least be phone records to verify this to be true. But they have found NOTHING, not even on the 911 day that Casey claimed that she got a call from Caylee. NOT TRUE! Phone records show no incoming call from some unknown individual. Police have verified EVERY NUMBER!! And what nailed the coffin for me even further, is the fact that her daughter is MISSING and she is OUT RENTING HORROR MOVIES and ENCOURAGING FRIENDS TO PARTY at different headliners. She wasn’t STEALING money from her friends to find Caylee, she was SHOPPING FOR BRAS AND FOOD to cook for her temp boyfriend. LINED AND HOOKED!!!

I am and allways been for the defence but now I am sided with the porsecution these dream teams make me sick to death, yes we all deserve a good defence even if guilty, how ever whats gets my goat is these guys are looking for the in god we trust from books and movies. they dont care about kaylee are casey, their owen pocket books are their greatness in history is their reward. To bad kaylee cant make her future.She wont get the chance.

Well, as for Jerome…I have no idea what your post even was suppose to mean. But to GinetteG…although I can appreciate your belief that Caylee was still alive - I bet your belief structure has been broken down a bit by this point, huh? I’m not making light of this - I just find it oddly interesting that you have all these people who wanted to “believe” that poor caylee was alive while all the while she was wrapped in a trash bag with duct tape around her head. How sad. Law Enforcement knew early on that she was dead. Their instinct and evidence pointed to that end…sad as it is. Why don’t we look at the fact, people, and go with that. Casey killed her daughter. End of discussion. Now on with the trial.

There is no way a grandmother would let 30 days go by without knowing the whereabouts of her granddaughter or without knowing the person who had her, babysitter!!! I am a grandmother AND a babysitter. I have emergency numbers of family members of children for whom I care! And family members know me and have my number!!! Also ‘zannie the nanny’ was the term totmom used among her friends to state that she drugged kaylee with the drug: xanax. That is what the investigator found out and stated on Nancy Grace! I hope totmom’s friends will testify to that! That will blow totmom’s ‘nanny’ theory and put her on death row! Unfathomable!!! What kind of mom would drug her baby so she could party??

What ALL of you are missing is that Florida STATE LAW protects ALL of a PI’s records and NO ONE can subpoena or otherwise force a PI to have to reveal anything about his records with the single exception of the department that issues the license and THEN even THEY have to know a specific item to subpoena they can not use a blanket subpoena to view any record(s) other than one specific thing they have specific knowledge about. So despite all of the conjecture, this PI is NOT hiding anything and is only rightfully protecting his records NO JUDGE, NO COURT or any other agency or person has ANY authority to demand to see ANY of a PI’s records. NO LAW ENFORCEMENT AGENCY or officer can view or otherwise touch his records. PERIOD. NONE of his records.

I just gotta say that if you get pregnant why is having an abortion even an option? This is a child! A growing human being! If Cindy Anthoney did do something right it was making Casey deal with the consequences of getiing knocked up in the first place! Why is it murder when the babys out and about in the world but when its in your belly its just something you can kill?

Dominic Casey of D&A Investigations, Inc. has NEVER given an interview. The “interview” to which you are obviously referring never occurred and was manufactured because he REFUSED to be interviewed. I hope this sets the record straight! In fact, it appears that Dominic Casey is the only person in the Anthony scenario that HAS refused the PR activity, interviews and book offers!
