Casey Anthony's Shocking Revelation

Why is Casey's defense team changing its story?

casey anthony

Despite claims as recent as Wednesday that missing toddler Caylee Anthony is still alive, mom and accused killer Casey Anthony's defense team now has a new story.

In a 30-page document sent to prosecutors, her lawyers argue that if Caylee is dead, "it was almost certainly a tragic accident." The documents state Caylee could've been poisoned by chloroform or she could have died while she was sedated. Their bottom line: The cause of death may have been an unwitting overdose of a sedative.

Huh?

The documents describe Casey as confused, possibly even depressed. They say Casey's behavior had been erratic ever since Caylee's birth and especially in the months before the little girl vanished. Also that Casey's lack of emotion after Caylee's disappearance is proof that Casey is not normal and could be suffering from mental or emotional stress.

Why the new story? Reports say Casey is trying to avoid the death penalty.

• The defense says the death penalty is not an appropriate sentence in Casey's case because she is a young mom and has never had a criminal record. However, the documents never mention that a babysitter had kidnapped Caylee, the story Casey has used -- until now.

Even more shocking: In an attempt to evoke sympathy for Casey, her lawyers plan to show the jury photos of her as a baby. The photographs show Casey, 22, as an infant, playing with her brother Lee, and surrounded by family members.

Tell us -- is Casey Anthony mentally ill?  Should she be spared the death penalty? Comment in the momlogic community.

This is why corruption in government and on Wall Street is rampant; the system is broken. How is that Wesley Snipes gets three years in jail for tax fraud, while Phil Abraham Spector killed a woman (Lana Clarkson) and still walks free?!! Justice is clearly being manipulated and circumvented here by Casey’s Dream Team to prevent a “Chosen One” from receiving the death penalty. If she wasn’t Jewish, she’d get the Hebrew hammer thrown at her. This girl’s case is yet another example of the sociopathological behavior of some of “G-d’s Chosen”. If we as a country allow her to be acquitted, what will this say about us as a people, as a country?

I have a stepdaughter who reminds me of Casey Anthony. She abandoned her first two children when they were 4 and 6 years old. She was reunited with them when they were 6 and 8 only to abandon them again when they were 12 and 14 along with her new little boy who was 4 when she left. She is a substance abuser but more than that she is addicted to a man, any man. We’ve just began to refer to him as Man X since they’ve changed so frequently. Man X never exceeds her in character, intelligence, looks, or net worth. He always has at least as many problems as she does. But regardless of all this, he is the most important person in the world to her. Her kids are 8, 16, and 18 now and don’t really have a father either. My husband and I are raising them and they are great kids. She is 44 now and I don’t expect her to ever be any different. Her real mother gave her up and she did have an incidence of sexual abuse as a child according to her story. It is always difficult to sort through what is true and what isn’t however. This has made me feel like I understand this situation and what these grandparents are going through. From the outside looking in, it appears that the solutions of handling someone like this are easy but they are not. Casey is barely out of her teenage years and they had to hope that she was in a phase and would grow up. They couldn’t imagine she was capable of such selfishness. I totally believe that she killed Caylee because she had to be with Man X. You might remember the young man she was living with had told her he didn’t want Caylee over there anymore. For someone like Casey and my step-daughter, that is the end of the world. Caylee had to go - not him.

You can’t even call her a mother because no real mother would ever do that to their child. She is so guilty. I knew that from day one. It makes me sick how she wipes at her eyes all the time and their is no tears to wipe. She is a liar and I think she should suffer for what she did to her beautiful little girl. Their is so much more I would like to say, and believe me it’s not nice. I hope she burns in HELL!!!!!

I have a sister who is just like Cindy Anthony. I call it “stick your head in the sand and you never have to face what your kids or grandkids do” I can see this same thing happening in our family and my sister defending her grand-daughter to the very end, whan all evidence points to guilt.

Casey is guilty—-she didnt want a child keeping her from her parties. Everything points to her guilt! She is spoiled and selfish! George is the only one with sense in that family. I feel so sorry for him—he lost his granddaughter——-and his daughter!

…..just think of the millions of good people possibly in her neighborhood even….that would have looked after Caylee so Casey could rub with the sick girls at the party…

Yes, she should get the death penalty. I say this because she has not been cooperative from the beginning! If she had shown more contrition, more remorse and concern about her missing daughter, and bee more forthcoming with police, or come clean wayyy earlier, that would be different. But she obviously believes she can outwitt the law. So for this, she should get the harshest penalty possible. She brought this on herself.

Caylee was never buried. The rapid decompostion and signs of animal activity indicate this.I believe Casey murdered Caylee then placed the body on top of the ground at the house, then threw the body by the side of the road probably after three weeks.

I guess there is someone in the world who thinks Casey Anthony might be innocent… (Personally I dont at all and think she shouldnt get anything less than the death penalty) but what motivates other mothers to send her money in prison? What kind of defense can you come up with that could possibly sound reasonable next to the mountain of evidence of caylees murder? I am just curious what exactly her defense team can pull together that WONT sound like a load of crap

I hope this comment gets spread very fast, and i hope someone in charge of this reads it… letting the mother go is outright wrong. She killed her child with the intentions of getting away with it. She knew she could get over the courts because who would suspect a mother to kill her child? That was what i think she was thinking when she done this. she outright killed her child. i think it was because she was not ready to be a mother. she still wanted to party and she is mentally crazy.. all the evidence that they have on her and they still havent setenced her! casey dosent even look worried about her child from what ive seen on the news all she is worring about is getting out of jail. to be quite honest i think she is only sad that she made the mistake she did. and if she ever wanted somthing back it wouldnt be her daughter it would be the mistake of killing her. many of people feel she done it and i do too. i am only 16 and i am trying to see it from two points of veiw but as much as i try to see ms.casey innoccent she seems guilty. the chlorofom found in her car she obvously used to kill her child. i want to cry because that inncocent little child is dead and her mother who killed her might be let free out of jail. i would hope that the courts make the right decision on putting her in jail because it would be a shame to let her off the case, and years from now even when the mother dies we find out she was guilty. we have made mistakes like this plenty of times and where does it end? how does this make other children like me feel safe? to know that one day i could be harmed by a family member and because the person is a relative and claims to love me… they are innocent. what does this teach other mothers that might want to pull the same stunt? that they can kill there child and will get away because they brought the child in the world and would never take them out. there is a diffrence between fake tears and real tears and what i’ve seen on the news these tears from
