With just two more days until the election, Obama pushes for last minute votes and McCain gets laughed at. Guest blogger Ronda Kaysen has the political scoop.
John McCain might be losing the election, but he hasn't lost his sense of humor. He turned up on Saturday Night Live last night with Tina Fey (aka Sarah Palin) selling their wares on the QVC Network. "I'm a true maverick, a Republican without money," he said, while Sarah Palin secretly hawked "Sarah Palin in 2012" tees. The Senator had so much fun he stayed until curtain call.
On McCain's Trail: Dick Cheney endorsed McCain, saying he "understands the danger" facing the U.S. and Arnold Schwarzenegger criticized Obama's "skinny legs" McCain is campaigning hard in traditional Republican strongholds and his increasingly dire map to the White House shows no room for detours. Sarah Palin got duped by a Montreal comedy duo that pretended to be Nicolas Sarkozy. (How she didn't realize this was a joke is just mind bending.) And McCain supporters are feeling pretty depressed these days.
On Obama's Trail: Democrats are coming out of eight years of hiding to fire off their resumes in the hopes of landing a job in the White House. All this "Obama's going to win" business might be turning off Hispanic voters who don't like too much cockiness in a winner. White churchgoers don't like Obama much either. The French, however, are so in love with Obama they're building billboards in his honor.
