Former Porn Star Is Now a Teacher's Aide

Is this okay?

Crystal Gunns

Crystal Gunns -- whose real name is Louisa C. Tuck -- works with children at D'Ippolito Elementary School in Vineland, NJ. She helps on the playground and in the cafeteria. She also works at the local YMCA where some parents there called her "an excellent role model."

Five years ago, she was starring in porn films and some in the community in which she works are not happy about her past. The president of the area's Board of Education wants Louisa Tuck fired. But the district's Superintendent is on her side-- suggesting that the district has been "advised against taking action," because they have no legal grounds to terminate an employee based solely on previous employment -- even porn star employment. The parents in the community are also split -- some want her fired and others take no issue with her porn star past.

Would you care if Louisa Tuck was an aide at your child's school?

I can’t imagine the kids watch pornos so what is the problem if she is setting a good example? Sounds to me like she is trying to turn her life around in a positive way. We all make mistakes. The fact that people reconized her says it all. How do you think they knew who she was????

okay… so they don’t like the fact that she WAS a porn star but they won’t let her get past it and move on with her life… yeah that makes sense…

It doesn’t bother me, just so long as like Amber said, that she doesn’t show up for work looking like that picture! LOL! But seriously, if the woman is capable of working with children, then why not… it’s the people whose pasts we know nothing about, that scare me more than someone like her, who may have gotten into porn for a number of reasons, but now appears to be getting her life on track. Kudo’s to her.

As long as the children aren’t watching porn, they will never know what she did in her past. People do stupid things for money. As long as she has left that past behind is being a good role model now, then let her work with kids.

As long as she wont do strip dancing for the kids and wear racy clothes, shes ok. The Board of Education would have to keep a close watch on her specifically her decency. This is unbelievable

don’t be so naive, kids will watch porn, and with this huge public scandal going on, guess which former porn star is going to be at the forefront of their interests? this is only magnified by the fact that they can see her for real when they’re done on the PC. i can foresee problems in the classroom because of this. i think this would be a hell of a lot less of a problem if people didn’t make a big deal about it. if the fact that she’s a former porn star had never been put on the spotlight, virtually every concern you can think of is moot. though, i do take issue with those of you looking at a job in pornography with, well, less than respect. it’s just like any other job; you provide a service that is in demand for an appropriate fee. being a porn star doesn’t constitute a life that is “off-track”. it’s like working in a coffee shop; boring and monotonous, except you get paid more.

I absolutely agree with all the posts. There shouldn’t be a problem, especially if some call her an excellant role model. I bet the ones who want her fired are wives that don’t want their husbands looking at those ginormous boobs!! Which look disgusting by the way. Anyhow, seems she’s no harm to the kids so what’s the problem??

I agree with Amber. I also think that no one should be judge solely on their past. Everyone has the ability to grow into a better person…even porn stars.

I don’t see it as a problem as long as she dresses appropriatly. I bet the ones that want her fired are women who don’t want their husbands ogling her.

I dont think its the kids we need to worry about, its their dads lol. Seriously though, I think that anyone at any time has the right to try to change their life for the better. People should be applauding her!

These are elementary school kids, they would have had NO WAY to know of this woman’s past if the other adults (and I use that term only to describe age and NOT maturity level) had kept their mouths shut! People need to get a clue.

Like I said in a previous post, todays kids are not the problem, it’s their messed up, insecure, overbearing parents who go around stirring up dirt, spreading rumors, and bring things out in the open when it’s NONE of their business! Who cares what she did in her past as long as shes doing the right thing now. Her being a PAST porn star is no different to me than having a gay person teaching my kids. As long as they don’t show or talk about their sex life with my kids its none of my business
